The location of the farm /country house is breathtaking. From Newry/Banbridge/Belfast/Dublin you reach Tullymurry House on a wonderful avenue surrounded by fields. The entrance and the gate to the park and the house already captivates the charm and the beauty ofl the property. The trees and plants were planted with great care to make a beautiful park and garden. At the end of the 'drive' (150 metres) you can expect to have a view of the ivy-covered house and the beautiful front red door. On the left side is 'Parkfield' and behind that is the garden, the orchard, the rose garden and the courtyard. Through a short detour to the right past the house you enter the farmyard and its barns.
From the house you can enjoy a wonderful view of Mourne Mountains. (They invite you for hiking /mountain biking/ climbing and excellent options for day trips). A very beautiful beach (Newcastle) invites you for fabulous beach walks, surfing and kite surfing. There are numerous excellent golf courses (Royal County Down/Newcastle, one of the top golf courses in Europe). Fishing is best enjoyed in Newry Canal, Carlingford, in Spelga Dam (Mourne Mountains water reservoir - very idyllic), from the pier in Ardglass and in many other lakes.
Banbridge Leisure Center provides a nice gym/ swimming pool with many sport activities, joggers will love the jog around the house (20min) uphill/ downhill, shopping enthusiasts will like the Outlet Centre in Banbridge and the shopping streets in Dublin/Belfast. Culture-lovers will be thrilled about Dublin and Belfast, especially the new Titanic Museum and the excellent bars (Crown Bar, Belfast, Temple Bar, Dublin). Both cities are reachable just in above an hour (also by public transport).
For more trips worth recommending, check out Antrim Coast. Bushmills Whiskey Distillery, Giants Causeway and Carrick-a-Rede are some of the 'Must Sees'.
The journey to Tullymurry House is very easy. From Dublin and from Belfast the roads are very good. The last stretch takes you over country roads (5 min).
