This village house suits all seasons and has a beautiful wrap around porch that looks onto Rangeley Lake. You can see if a tennis court is free or simply watch the world go by. Just a few miles from Saddleback ski resort and in winter this is a great house for a larger group. Come for Snodeo and enjoy the snowmobiling. Beautiful hikes in fall are complemented by a cosy dinner in town at the end of the day. Summer swimming on the beach and boating and good fishing (we are right next to the fly fishing shop). Come with your family, come with your buddies, it works for all.

Rangeley village is a little gem hidden in the western mountains of Maine. All needs for living and relaxing are met in the village as it has a good choice of restaurants, stores, library,movie theatre and all the lake has to offer in all seasons plus tennis courts,basket ball and a play area for children. All around is the wilderness of Maine plus, close by, Saddleback mountain ski resort (plus a cross-country trail).

We felt right at home!

Our quilting group arrived later in the evening on Friday night for a quilting retreat. Everything was where the owner had said it would be, although they had said there was an iron and ironing board which we didn't find unless it was in the basement. We felt like we had just walked into our own home. There was 14 women and all we had to do was decide who slept where. One bedroom is listed as a double bed but I would say it was more of a 3/4 bed. It would definitely be crowded for 2 to sleep in. The house is clean and comfortable. Nothing that would be called ritzy. We loved staying there. I would recommend this to my friends. We walked to restaurants, local quilt shop, and other local shops. Would suggest a DVR player with the TV. I hope to be able to stay there again for another quilting retreat.
