Even while cooking or washing the dishes, you can enjoy the ocean's entertainment, from the peacefulness of the breaking waves to the plethora of wildlife such as sea otters, porpoises, and birds. During the summer, don't miss the Wednesday night sailboat races, where all the boats cruise by, flying their spinnakers.
There are accommodations for up to ten guests. Located upstairs is the master bedroom suite, that also has access to the balcony through a sliding glass door. It has a king-size bed which faces the west, with a view of the Santa Cruz wharf and lighthouse. If you're awake as sunrise begins, you'll be awed by the spectacular changes that take place as the world becomes light. The master bathroom features two sinks and a sunken tub, as well as a huge skylight.
Downstairs are two bedrooms. One has a king-size bed and a sliding glass door to a patio. The other bedroom has a queen-size bed and a corner window overlooking the ocean.
The den has a bunk with the a double lower bed and a twin upper bed, as well as the queen-size sofa bed. It also has its own TV and stereo.
There are two full bathrooms downstairs. One has a tub/shower while the other has a stall shower with a seat. The laundry includes a large capacity washer and dryer in the bathroom at the bottom of the stairs from the main floor.
The upstairs living room is set just back from the 'Ship's Bridge' room, and has two views of the ocean. One is through the Bridge, and another is through the double sliding glass front door. The living room has a large padded sofa and a love seat where each side is a recliner. It's nearly impossible to lean all the way back without falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean.
The 'Pirates Den,' the downstairs living area, is located under the 'Ship's Bridge' room and also boasts a full view of the ocean. There is a bunk bed, which sleeps two to three children depending upon their size and friendliness.
There are also a TV and stereo in this room. This is a great room for kids of all ages!
Almost everyone who stays in this home is amazed at how well equipped we keep the kitchen. It's probably because we both like to cook. Many of our guests return each year for another week. We hope that you'll decide to return as well.
The huge dining table will comfortably seat your group, with plenty of room for heaping platters of food. The dining area is located on one side of the bridge room with a cozy couch and love seat on the opposite side for relaxing while overlooking the ocean. Additional seating is located beyond the sliding glass door on the balcony complete with its own picnic table, lounge chairs, and barbecue.
The hot tub is from Dimension One and has five seating locations with various jet configurations to massage different parts of your body. There are two loungers in the tub. The spa overlooks the ocean.
There is a two-car garage plus one parking space by the front stairs.
