Description of the Mountain View Contemporary vacation rental:
Four-season Adirondack vacation property: Our home offers privacy and relaxation located at Quaker Mtn on a two acre site within the quaint village of Wilmington, NY, located nine miles from Lake Placid Village and only two miles (5 minutes) from Whiteface Mountain offering breathtaking views from our decks.
The house is well maintained and will accommodate up to ten (10) people. It has sliding glass doors leading from the Living/Great and Dining Rooms to the decks facing Whiteface Mountain. The three bedrooms are located on the lower level. The master bedroom has a Queen size bed and twin 'rollaway' bed. This Bedroom has a HD 32' TV and a full bath/shower. The center bedroom has a Full size bed. The End Bedroom has a Queen size bed, and a twin 'rollaway' bed. A second full bath is located adjacent to these adjoining bedrooms. In addition, the loft is located above the dining room, has its own deck facing the mountain with a Queen size hide-a-bed / love seat which is perfect for television viewing or just relaxing. On the main level, we have a large living room bordered with a cathedral ceiling and accented with a stone fireplace.
The kitchen is fully equipped including a refridgerator/freezer, range with microwave and dishwasher. The kitchen also includes all cooking utensils, dishes, silverware and glassware. A half bath is located on the main floor. In addition, a washer and dryer are located in the Utility Room, adjacent to the kitchen and two car garage.
For your listening and viewing pleasure, we have a stereo/multiplex; CD/DVD player; VCR and (3) color satellite ready TVs; including 32' TV's in our living room and master bedroom. The house is full electric including heat and hot water. Bath and bed linens are provided for up to ten (10) guests... all you need to bring is your skis or fishing poles. We provide Internet/WiFi service for your convenience at NO ADDITIONAL Charge! In addition, deck furniture, a barbecue grill and telephone are provided.

Skiing at Whiteface Mountain is a challenge for the most avid skier with over forty trails to experience….. The mountain has trails for all levels of skiing, from beginner to intermediate to those with advanced skiing abilities. The facility has recently added Gondolas to speed you to the top of Whiteface Mtn. For those families with young children, the staff at Whiteface offers nursery care and babysitting services. The mountain has total SNOWMAKING capacity for all trails. In addition, the area offers Cross-Country Skiing, Ice-Skating, Snowmobiling, and Tobogganing. During the Winter Season, Wilmington and Lake Placid offers many activities and entertainment e.g.: Ice Shows at the arena, on-going live events at the performing arts center, and movies at the theatre.
Summer:
Our town beach (Lake Everest) is only five (5) minutes away with Lifeguard. The lake offers boating, kayaking, canoeing, fishing and a place for picnicking and bar-be-queuing. Visit Whiteface & take a ride on the Gondola; or enjoy the walk at the AuSable Flume which is only 3 miles away. Optionally, swimming; tubing is conveniently located in the AUSABLE RIVER at the Covered Bridge in JAY, NY, only 5 minutes away. For the avid fisherman, the trout fishing in our area is second to none. Boat rentals are readily available in LAKE PLACID. Horseback riding stables are located in KEENE and LAKE PLACID. For the Golfer, there are four (4) courses in the area. For families with small children, SANTA'S WORKSHOP is located in WILMINGTON, and is the place that you must visit! During your visit to Lake Placid, be sure to tour the Olympic Facilities where the athletes train at the Ski Jumps, Bob Sled / Luge areas; and Ice Skating Arena. Also, in July the Annual Horse Show and the International “Ironman Event” take place each year. There are many restaurants in the area with great food at reasonable prices. As for shopping, Lake Placid Village is a must which feature great outlets with sales during the year.
A Price Chopper Super Market is open 24 hrs, located in Lake Placid. Convenience stores are located within Wilmington and Lake Placid.

Security Deposit Information: Tenants sign the Lease, which is a Legal document, requiring all repairs, beyond normal wear and tear, for a sum of $400 to $500 dependent on the number of people in your party and the length of stay. Security to be paid by the tenant and retained by OWNER .
Smoking Policy: There is no smoking in the house or on the decks. Please dispose all cigarettes in the containers provided and clean up butts from the driveway and lawn.
Cleaning Policy: Please put all empty bottles/cans and bagged trash in large containers located in the garage for our housekeeper to pick up every few days. Wash dishes. empty dishwasher and put away before leaving. Please strip beds and place in laundry baskets. Starting a load of towels in the washing machine would be appreciated. A cleaning/garbage removal fee is charged from $135 - $150 dependent on the number of people in your party and the length of stay.
