Our villa, 'Casa Almendro' is a stylish and comfortably renovated historic country house, furnished with antique style furniture and fully equipped. The covered patios are located on the garden
not visible from outside. The villa includes 3 units lying adjacent to each other, Almendro 1 + 2 + 3, units 1 + 2 each have 2 bedrooms, for 4 persons each, unit 3 has 3 bedrooms and is ready for 6 persons. By renting all 3 units together entirely, Casa Almendro can comfortably accommodate 14 persons, extra beds are possible. Garden is planted lush with tropical vegetation, so that you can relax comfortably in the shades of apple, banana, date palm, fig, persimmon, orange, lemon, almond trees of 'Almendro' along the pool side. The romantic villa has everything you need for the preparation of culinary delights. To a spicy dish on a charcoal grill or a pata negra, the exquisite Spanish ham, you can
serve organic cheeses from local farmers and enjoy the excellent wines, fruit juices and freshly harvested fruits of the region on the shaded patio. Of course you can get your breakfast eggs from the freely running hens in our adjacent villas, get them from us, or prepare paella and pastries in the fully fitted kitchen.
We as owners are the contact persons for all your needs. We are a Canarian / Austrian family and we speak your language too. Canarian tradition is maintained in our family. So family festivals also take place with Canarian folk and traditional music. If you are interested
in it and any such festival takes place during your stay, we would gladly invite you.

The Spanish family Hernandez / Galvan is a great farming family rich in tradition, which since many generations, resides in Tenerife and has large landholdings. We are continuing the tradition of planting our villas with organic wine and tropical fruits. Our forests are replanted, and from the
private, 4-kilometre deep water galleries (mine shafts) we get a lot of mineralised, pure spring water, which rises with a temperature of more than 34 degrees Celsius out of the rock.
Out of the old Canarian houses in our possession, we have chosen the most traditional one, stylishly renovated and furnished it completely. In these houses not only a beautiful holiday is possible, but also
the contact to Spanish lifestyle is provided.
The villa is situated in Tenerife South, in Arico. This Spanish town is not influenced by the hustle and bustle of tourists, but has the charm of a dreamy Spanish idyllic countryside. The place has a good infrastructure, all the facilities required for local services, such as supermarket, bank, bakery, butcher, restaurants, florist, hair salon, gas station, pharmacy and medical centre with helipad for emergencies (24 hours), etc. are all within approximately 500 metres. The local wine growers, where you can taste and also buy wine and olive oil from the local farmers is about 1 km, and if you feel like tasting goat and sheep cheese directly from the farm, you can also get them within a radius of 1 km. Nothing stands in the way in a romantic self-catering holiday with an opportunity to get to know the Spanish lifestyle and culinary delights. Tenerife, soaked by the warm Gulf Stream, has a very mild climate and is also famously known as the 'Island of Eternal Spring'. The beaches invite you year-round for swimming and with a trip to the highest mountain peak on the island, Mount Teide, one crosses all climatic and vegetation zones from 0 to 3785 meters above sea level. The mild climate combined with iodine and salty sea air activates and has a salutary effect against chronic inflammations and allergies etc.
Tenerife is a Spanish province with the capital 'Santa Cruz', therefore, the island has all
facilities of a state capital such as schools, university with different faculties, university hospital,
medical care, all shops, administrative authorities, agricultural, commercial,
catering and cultural facilities, in addition to all the tourist attractions. The favourable geographical
coastal location, with the highest annual sunshine hours in Europe effects not only on the quality of life,
but also makes it possible to facilitate production of renewable energy through extensive photovoltaics
and wind turbines. Agriculture is promoted by this climate, because in most cases,
a permanent crop rotation exists and the markets have freshly harvested regional fruits and
vegetables all the time.
The colonisation of the island has historical origins, the original inhabitants, 'Guanschen', who were the
descendants of Vikings, were replaced by Spanish invaders and they had taken the Spanish island in
possession. In course of this historical evolution, the old towns and villages also came up with their
monuments. And 'Loro Parque' in Puerto de la Cruz, 'Auditorium' in Santa Cruz,
'Siam Parque' in Arona are some of the tourist attractions to mention a few.
The island has a well-developed road network. From Arico one can reach almost all points of the island
from within a radius of 100 km with minimal traffic signals.
The coast with several sandy beaches is about 6 km, that is, about 10 minutes away. Distance
to the Tenerife South airport (Reina Sofia) is about 25 km, about 60 km to the capital Santa Cruz,
Los Gigantes - located in the south - about 60 Km.
