Group accommodation Nieuwkarspel offers you the following opportunities:
a very large green field, about 4000 m2, to play, sport, relax.

From our terrain, several walks start, along the canal, on the grass embankments. The hikes - partly guided - take from half an hour to ... as long as you want. There are (Topo)maps in the house and we can tell you where to find them.
For fishing you just install yourselves on the dike at the property
Paddling through the canal is a really nices. have 4 canoes, each for one person. The cost 17 euro per day, 10 per day part. From 2 km you will find a canoe rentals (see further info).
Cycling is very nice here. We have about 10 bikes that you can rent: € 5 per day. You will also find info about the bike's lender, which has much more to offer.
We rent materials to build a raft. Price € 60 per raft The rafts are fit to sail on in the pond next door. Lots of fun! In the pond next door swimming is very well possible. Swimming shoes (or a homemade raft) are recommended if you want to swimm there.

There are two bakers: Bakkerij Frank Rood (1 mile) and Bakkerij Jonker (1.5 mile). You can order bread from these shops. Slagerij Wever (butcher) has already surprised many guests with very good barbecue! They deliver too.
In the vicinity of the property there is a small greengrocerystall and a biomilkstall (Kasteelstraat, Oudkarspel) to which we have a key.
Restaurants to order and enjoy:
a pizzeria (La Tavernina, Oudkarspel), a Kinarestaurant (De Pauw, Noord-Scharwoude), some snacks (Celavie, Oudkarspel Het Bunkertje, Noord-Scharwoude) also all things to take home and sometimes even worried. A pub (De Knip, Dorpsstraat, Oudkarspel) and several restaurants (De Burg, Noord-Scharwoude; De Buizerd, Noordscharwoude; Babylon Heerhugowaard; Marktzicht, Broek op Langedijk etc.Langedijk etc.
Tips for more adventures:
Walking/hiking and biking is also lovely and very beautiful in the dunes at Schoorl, about 6 km from here. Many marked walks.
Paddling: A canoe rental with a choise of canoes and kajaks is very close, about two kilometers from here.
Playing garden park De Swaan is very close (low Geestmerambacht). The also rent bikes and tandems.
Behind the dunes lies the popular North Sea with beautiful beaches and nice places, and Schagen. Bergen aan Zee, Egmond aan Zee, Camperduin, Petten, Sint Maartenszee. Hargen is a large car park by the sea, Schoorl aan Zee (by the sea) is reachable only for bikers and walkers.
Geestmerambacht is a recreation area for hiking, sports, biking, swimming. 4 km from the property.
At 2 km you find a butterfly garden, a Vinzgerei with wine room, a covered play area and swimming pool: (under 11 years old approximately), een bowling, enz.
Noord-Scharwoude there is an indoor swimming pool: Duikerdel, very cozy.
