Casa Calypso is a first class luxury 3 bedroom/3.5 bathroom, top floor condominium in a gated community Cruz del Mar located on top of the hillside of Punta Santa Cruz, Bahias de Huatulco, Oaxaca, Mexico. Every room has a breathtaking panoramic view of Santa Cruz Bay, Marina and Village of Santa Cruz. Casa Calypso is 1900 sq. ft. (172 sq. m.) with 3 separate suites. The Master Suite is a combination of fully equipped kitchen, breakfast bar, dining/living room with cathedral ceiling and 42' plasma TV, a guest half bathroom , a master bedroom with queen size bed, spacious master bathroom with double sinks and marble shower. The adjoining very spacious under roof balcony/lanai could be accessed both from a master bedroom and a living room.

Additonal Information: Taxi with its flat rate of 25 pesos or $2.50 dollars within 4 miles range is a very economical way to move around in Huatulco. The gatekeeper will have phone numbers to the local taxi cabs. Rental cars are also available but expect to pay around $40-$50 US dollars per day. You might be better off to hire a local taxi driver for full day trips/excursions. Huatulco offers a large variety of restaurants , shopping, a small mall with a four-plex movie theater, a championship 18 hole golf course, a marina for boating, jet skiing, scuba diving, snorkeling, surfing, deep sea fishing, horseback riding, ATV jungle tours, coffee plantation tours, Magic Falls tours, river rafting and many more other activities.

Rejuvenated after our stay at Casa Calypso!

Casa Calypso is definitely a first class "new" and luxurious condo. Situated on the hillside overlooking the town of Santa Cruz, you feel like you are on a perch, taking in the stunning views, it doesn't take long to relax and rejuvenate. We have spent previous years in Zihuatanejo where we expected that sometimes there would be problems, such as no hot water, etc. but Casa Calypso is All the amenities and comforts we get at home, including SOFT beds which is not a given in Mexico! Even having the washer/dryer available meant we could pack along fewer clothes. You can choose to sit out on the deck and watch the views or wind down in front of the TV. You wake up to the beautiful sweeping views of Santa Cruz town & bay. Santa Cruz town is an easy 10-15 min walk downhill (up coming back) or taxi's are readily available and they don't gouge you. Much further walk to Crucecita, so take a taxi. A variety of beaches to visit. The best really is comfort and view from Casa Calypso. The owner/Host was speedy with our booking and gracious in ensuring we were comfortable & happy - they have really thought out all the things required for comfort and convenience at Casa Calypso!! Our Agent & Security personnel were wonderful too!

Casa Calypso is a beautiful three-bedroom condo perfect for a family with one wing containing two bedrooms, each with its own bath. The condo is furnished very nicely with lots of amenities, including a washer and dryer. The covered deck is a very pleasant place to watch the sea, the town and the boats. The condo is a 10 minute walk to the beach (although there is a pool just downstairs). One of the boat operators in town has a very loud speaker system which allows sound to travel up the hill to the condo. The owners gave helpful recommendations about restaurants and activities and were very prompt in returning the deposit.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Tourists without a Car, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, People with Disabilities
