Location is a municipality in the district spelled Bentheim in Lower Saxony, with a population of around 1,000 employees.
In the north of the county of Bentheim are large moor and heath areas in the south extends to the mountain Bentheimer an offshoot of the Teutoburg Forest
The county is traversed lengthwise from southeast to northwest of the Vecht. In addition, many smaller streams and lakes characterize the diverse landscape of the county of Bentheim. Just as the natural waters also characterize the channels in the course of industrialization created the landscape.

In a partly flat and partly hilly landscape with lots of greenery and water, you can discover for days with new, interesting routes.
Location is also at the Art ways route. »Art because" one of the biggest open museums in Europe, with more than 60 international artists sculpture projects, for a distance of approximately 140 kilometers in length, which runs from north to the Horn Dutch Zwolle by the scenic Vechtetal.
Only the small town location has to offer three ways art stations, all of which can be easily reached on foot.
Even the Bentheim Castle, or approximately 7.5 kilometers by remote climatic spa Uelsen with its modern swimming pool (Waldbad) are worth a visit, and - not to forget - the 'water Nordhorn', the county seat with about 50 000 inhabitants.
Spend a day at the zoo, you can explore the city with a pedal boat or one of the tour boats, relax at Vechtesee or go on an adventure tour by canoe along the Vecht.
The entire region also offers many opportunities to those interested in culture, such as museums, cultural events, exhibitions and historical sites. There is something for everyone.
If you want to explore by bike further afield throughout the county, but would like to avoid strenuous purchase or return journeys by bike, you can enjoy all of the hourly circulating Fietsenbus, to take you and your bike in many corners of the county, from which you can easily "learn" the routes that seem worthwhile.

Our house is only a "stone's throw" from the oldest town in the Dutch Twente, Ootmarsum. A place with a historic center and probably the greatest concentration of galleries in the Netherlands, if not the world - incredible but true.
For this aim we have to offer (among other bicycle routes) an elaborate and scenic day trip.
