In every way, a perfect place for us!

I rented this home for a week in late July-early August, 2009, for purposes of a family celebration of my wife's "significant" birthday. Eleven family members, including three grandchildren were there. I soon realized that I had made a great choice in selecting this home, after much research of this and other websites. It's a beautiful, well-maintained property. It's very large, and the number of bedrooms, king-sized beds, and nice full baths were unique features and a definite plus. (When you want a little privacy, it's available.) It's equipped exactly as the owner describes.
The house is located within easy walking distance of the Kennebunkport community, which has much to offer, The proximity to town was a definite plus, versus the more remote locations of many alternatives I considered. All enjoyed the freedom to walk to the ice cream store, the shops, the grocery, the waterfront, etc. We found the nearby beach to be perfect, and spent three of our days there. Kennebunkport is also within easy driving distance of other sites. We visited Ogunquit and Camden.
Given that we flew into Boston and Portland (from four cities) we appreciated the fact that the place was so well furnished...with nice bikes, beach chairs, towels, etc.
Finally, I can't say enough about the owner and her interest in our being happy with our vacation. She sent us a self-made guide to restaurants, her source for very reasonably priced "cooked and cracked" lobsters, and many other of her preferences...none of which we disagreed with.
