The Split level House offers walking access to everything the Hawthorne District has to offer. Hawthorne Boulevard is lined with locally-owned coffee shops, boutiques selling everything from cat-lovers paraphernalia to fresh-made pasta to international handicrafts. Portland is very pedestrian and bike friendly. The home is located blocks away from Laurelhurst Park.The interior of Laurelhurst Park park is defined by a large pond, complete with cruising ducks. The walking paths that snake through the landscape make for great wandering, with plenty of benches and nooks to drop down and picnic.
For more hiking and adventuring Mt. Tabor is 15 blocks away and has miles of trails through wooded areas and around the many turn of the century reservoirs. At the top of MT Tabor is arguably the best view of the city.
