LOVELY APARTMENT IN THE CITY CENTER

Munich Studio Rental Photos and Description

Studio, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 1-3)

With large windows and nearly 14 foot ceilings, you will feel like you are in a much larger apartment. Though a studio, the kitchen is separated from the living/sleeping area by a wall. From the kitchen you walk into the bathroom with its large shower. The shower has a built-in ledge on which you can sit while showering.

Be sure and have dinner at Makassar restaurant around the corner. This French Colonial restaurant is run by Jacques Costeau's former chef onboard Calypso. The neighborhood is known as the Dreimühlenviertel and is part of Munich's Glockenbachviertel, an eclectic mix of retired nuns, young couples with and without children, singles, restaurants, great shopping and a wonderful coffee shop not to be missed, Aroma.

The apartment is on the ground floor inside the buildings courtyard. It is very quiet while still being in the middle of the city. Just one block away is the Isar River. Stroll South against the flow of the river to the Flaucher Bier Garten. In the Spring and Summer the beer garden is full of people enjoying friends and family. Live music is also often offered. Cross over the wooden Flaucher Bridge and stroll the few meters to the city's zoo. It is a real treat for kids of all ages.

Find out why Munich is known as Italy's northern most city. But do not plan to stay with us if you need a car. We do not have parking and Munich is not a car-friendly city. Parking is by resident permit or parking meter for the most part. Public parking garages can be found in town, but not near this apartment.

EXCELLENT PROPERTY AND LOCATION

  • 5 of 5
Exceptional turn-key property in the heart of Munich - great for a couple. Safe residential neighborhood with quality restaurants and pubs everywhere in the area. The Pub/Restaurant a couple of doors down Ennstaler Stub'n has great wienerschnitzel, great Augustiner beer - pricing is super. The Austrian ladies that own the place are super, check out the raspberry Schnapps - they gave us a small bottle as a gift when we left! No car needed, catch the 62 bus on the corner for a short ride to Marienplatz/Virtualenmarket or transfer on the 62 second stop to Bus 58 for a short ride to the Central Train Station where you can catch a train to just about anywhere in Europe. Small negative: upstairs idiot neighbor decided to play very loud thumping 'techno music' at 5:30AM on a Sunday morning for 2 hours, which we did not appreciate - what on earth are these people thinking?!? Left a note at the front foyer and firmly asked that is stop as it violated local laws - never hear another sound, hope they were thoroughly embarrassed by their behavior. Germany has quiet time hours of 10PM-7AM and are enforced by the police. This apartment is like moving into somebody's home, so please treat it with respect - we certainly did. The washer sure same in handy, get ready to dry your clothes on the radiators or hang them in the bathroom. Not many dryers in Germany. This property is zero risk, go for it and use this place as your home base while exploring Europe! Kitchen is fully equipped with burners/oven/microwave ,toaster, coffeemaker, hot water pot, exhaust fan and fridge. Flat screen TV and the included fast WiFi worked great to keep us connected with family in the States. Prior guests typically leave spices, coffee filters, etc. Worked out great for me and my wife. Nice apartment layout and high ceilings. King size bed is comfortable. Plenty of storage for clothing. Nice kitchen table with 3 chairs. Mini blinds on the very large windows that face the beautiful wisteria plant in the courtyard of the complex - good privacy. Go for it and have fun, this is a great place to live like a local. The Lidl supermarket 3 minutes down the street is amazing - has pretty much anything you need, super bakery. Great prices too. Liquor stores and meat market nearby, also check out the KORN liquor store in the complex nearby. St Anton's Catholic Church has mass at 10AM on Sundays, - only a 10 minute walk. Amazing architecture. Will stay her again!!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. We are thrilled you enjoyed your stay with us and we will have a word with the neighbor about the techno concert he shared with you. Our guests just love the wonderful Austrian sisters and their restaurant. The place was once across the road from where we live, but moved a few years ago.

We look forward to welcoming you back again soon!

A WONDERFUL PLACE TO STAY

  • 5 of 5
I just returned from another trip to Munich, and my second time staying at this flat. It completely feels like home to me, and I will stay here anytime that I come to Munich. The flat is clean, comfortable, well located, quiet, and most of all, safe and secure.

I highly recommend using this property anytime that you are visiting Munich!!!!

GREAT TWO WEEK STAY IN MUNICH!

  • 5 of 5
My husband and I spent two weeks at this apartment and wish that we could have stayed longer. The apartment was as advertised: great location, well-maintained and clean. What one sees in the photos is what one gets.
The bus stop was a block from the apartment, as was the grocery store. No need for a car since the public transportation is so reliable and easy to navigate. There were also many restaurants within walking distance.
Anton met us on our arrival and answered any questions we had in great detail. He was very helpful. Plenty of books and maps for the city were provided.
We would stay here again. Had a wonderful time in Munich.

Owner's Response: Dear Carolyn,

Thank you for taking the time to post the review. We are thrilled you enjoyed yourself so much. You were also excellent guests. We had almost nothing to clean up. Are you sure you were here for two whole weeks?

Warm regards from Munich,

PERFECT PLACE TO STAY IN MUNICH!

  • 5 of 5
I have just returned from a 10-night stay at this apartment in Munich. The short walk to the corner to catch Bus 62 to city center (Marienplatz, Viktualienmarkt, etc) was ideal and made getting around a breeze. Two stops and an easy transfer to Bus 58 and you're at the central train station in 8 minutes! The neighborhood was extremely quiet and I had no problems with noise of any kind either in the apartment complex and/or the neighborhood. The apartment had everything I needed. Patt called shorlty after my arrival to make sure all was well and invited me to let him knoiw if I needed anything during my stay. I brought coffee filters from home but discovered that the kitchen was so well stocked that I didn't need them! Local grocery store is right around the block. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and hope to return!

WELL EQUIPPED FLAT IN QUIET AREA

  • 5 of 5
My wife and I were delighted with this property. Not only is it situated in a very quiet residential block, it is fully equiped with the owners having thought of guests every need.

The flat is on a direct bus route into the centre of Munich with buses every 10 minutes, so transport was a dream. In addition their are fantastic restaurants within walking distance, so we did not even have to cook for ourselves!

I can recommend this property to anyone wanting a break in a great city, but who also wants a quiet and well equipped base to venture forth from.

Would not hesitate to book here again.

MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

  • 5 of 5
This apartment was just great. Yes, it's in an apartment building with a lot of young tenants, but that's part of the charm. In any event, we had no "loud party" problems and were there on the weekend.

My wife and I got into a bit of a jam that Patt graciously and promptly got us out of. I will say no more, but thank you. Even if this had not happened, we would have been more than delighted with the spaciousness and comfort of the place. Those complaining about loud parties would have much more to complain about had they been in the center of town. As it is, this is close in, laid back and generally quite quiet, VERY public transportation friendly, and a great place from which to explore one of the world's great cities. It is outside of the "tourist district" which you will want to visit but probably not want to stay in.

We had a great time at the "French colonial" restaurant around the corner and at the Fauchner beer garden around the corner, which we found convivial and very "echt."

What are you waiting for? Book now!
