Bradenton Beach Vacation Rental townhome

This unit was okay. The location was good and it was spacious. The owner provided lots of beach chairs, umbrellas, and toys. She was very hospitable and gave me lots of great recommendations for places to eat. However, the unit could have been cleaner. The floors were dirty and sticky when we arrived. The carpets appeared to need cleaning as well. The oven was disgusting and smoked horribly when I tried cooking in it. I had to wipe it out in order to use it without setting off a smoke alarm. The kitchen is equipped with very basic pots, pans, and dishes, and is not the best for the serious cooks. We were disappointed in the living room furniture because it seemed old and uncomfortable. But it is probably a safe choice if renting to families with kids. The decks are not private at all. So if your neighbors sit outside and smoke all day, as ours did, you can neither sit on your deck nor keep the doors open without smoke blowing in your face. The road you have to cross in order to get to the beach can be treacherous. It would be hard to cross if you had small children.
