Loro Ciuffenna Farmhouse Rental Photos and Description
Apartments with 1 or 2 bedrooms for couples, families or groups.
Podere Casarotta is a beautiful old Tuscan farmhouse which has been renovated in recent years and converted into luxury apartments.
The Podere belonged initially to the Gonfaloniere (standard bearers, the old mayor) of Loro Bracciolini, was then managed by families of farmers who lived on the production of olive oil and wine. The house later came into the possession of the Antinori family, and then to the nuns of Santa Maria Order.
On a stone in the outer wall of the main building is the date '1774' chiselled: this is the year in which the farm was part of the Community Loro Ciuffenna.
The intent of the current owners had to restore the villa and renovate to make it more comfortable for a vacation, with the firm intention to preserve the original Tuscan connotation.
The farm (farmhouse Podere Casarotta together with the Azienda Agricola Conca d'Oro) comprises approximately 12 hectares, mostly planted with olive groves which give the place its typical Tuscan atmosphere, and allow us our high quality extra-virgin olive oil to produce. At times long past, the place was called 'Conca d'Oro', which means 'the golden trough', because of its climate, particularly pleasant for humans and beneficial to agriculture - especially for olive oil.
Casarotta, with its privileged location (only 4 km from the nearest village, Castelfranco di Sopra) a perfect balance between rest, relaxation and travel around the region: our farmhouse is your luxurious, be comfortable and relaxing base for exploring Tuscany! Whatever you are looking for: art, history, culture, parks and nature, food and wine, or just relax, everything is just outside our front door!
