It is set in four acres of wonderful landscaped grounds, centring on the mill stream, alongside a once thriving woollen mill (now only partially working, no noise). Since it's inception in 1997 we have received wonderful guest (and press) accolades - 'This is our sixth year and six house - nothing has compared to Tone Dale. So charming, so exquisitely furnished, so clean, so cared for and so full of history' and another said the 'best retreat a group could possibly wish for!' Also highly recommended by: The Sunday Times, Red Magazine, Harpers & Queen, and many others. Be indulged as much or as little as you like - you can do your own catering, or if you wish, we can do it all for you. We are just 2 1/2 hours by road 1 1/2 hours rail journey from London/Midlands.

Golf: Somerset, Devon and Dorset boast a wonderful, wide selection of courses for the novice or the more experienced golfer. We can help to arrange a 'West Country golf tour' starting at the excellent Oake Manor, near Taunton, and then select from a number of inland or seaside locations while based at Tone Dale or another one of the three Big Houses in Somerset.

Best wedding ever

We set out with the idea of having an informal wedding, more along the lines of a party with the wedding ceremony in the middle of it and that's exactly what we achieved. The house lent itself superbly to our occasion, all of the guests loved it, we loved it and had the best wedding ever!
