A great place to stay in Lucca!

My husband and I rented the apartment for a week in early April 2013. We enjoyed our stay in Lucca so much that we extended it by a couple of nights.
Initially, we were concerned that due to the apartment’s location on the ground floor, there might be noise from the street, especially at night, but we were never bothered by any noise or passers-by.
The apartment is impressive. It is spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Bathroom and kitchen are well equipped. Although the kitchen is small and has no oven unit (only a stove top), it was amply sufficient for us who used it to prepare breakfasts and lunches. We always had supper in one of the many good restaurants close by. While the apartment itself, utilities and services offered by the owner match the description and pictures on the Web page 100%, our expectations were surpassed. Claudia not only gave us a warm welcome and made us feel at home, she was also extremely helpful and accommodating. She had great suggestions for excursions, sightseeing, eating out, shopping and other activities, which she presents along with other useful tourist information in a printed booklet available in the apartment. We did everything she suggested and enjoyed some awesome scenery, explored picturesque towns and met locals in places we would not have discovered without Claudia’s knowledge of the region. We also recommend that guests use the bicycles she provides. For us, cycling on Lucca’s historic city wall and along the river was most enjoyable.
During our four-week trip in Italy, we stayed in many different places, but this apartment and its location certainly stand out. Here we found everything we had hoped for and more, and we whole-heartedly recommend it to anyone who wants to visit this part of Italy. If ever we return to Lucca, we’ll be happy to stay in your apartment again, Claudia. Grazie mille! (Susanna and Ed, Ottawa, Canada)
