Sandy beach, good fishing, large dock, newly remodeled. Air conditioner, rowboat, canoe,paddle boat.. Charcoal grill. Deck, bed linens/cooking utensils/dishes provided. Half way between Detroit and Chicago off I-94. Close to town. Private road. Maple Isle Park short walk to the south, public boat launch and picnic tables at end of Edgewater Drive. ONe mile walk to town, 2 miles to I-94. Ski's local bar is one nile to the north. South Haven, St. Joseph, Kalamazoo all within 20-30 minutes. Bittersweet and Timberidge ski lodges 15-20 minutes away snowmobilers will love layout and parking conditions, trails, start 1 mile down road maple lake is hot spot for local ice fisherman

Ackley lake is connected to Maple Lake by passing through a tube that goes under the road which divides the two lakes. Most bass boats, row boats, jet skis, canoes, kayaks will go through tube. A real deep v-boat such as the larger lund style boats or ones with windshields may not fit. I have a 16.5 Crestliner aluminum boat which goes through just fine.xi. Nearby Kalamazoo offers a museum, theater, Air Museum, and much more. City of Paw Paw is walking distance 1 mile to the south,, Ski's local bar is 1/3 mile to the North. Boat launch and picnic tables on Maple Lake are directly across the road from cottage. Maple Isle is on Maple Lake as well, on the opposite side of lake as boat launch. wifi 1 mile south burger king, pizza hut and 1 1/2 mile to paw paw public library-computers and wifi open til 8 pm weekdays.

Notes: Smoking allowed outside. we usually do not provide towels etc for bathroom for weekly rentals, can provide them for daily rental, let me know what you need-want. Convenient spot for elderly, 20' to lake, large dock- room for 2 chairs to sit or fish end of dock. The large deck is one step down on side and 2 small steps lakeside, can pull up to deck in good weather to load and un load. Back door by drive is 3 small steps up. Snowmobilers, Skiers Will Love Lay Out And Location. Room For Several Cars And Your Trailer At House, Over Flow Parking At Boat Launch Across The Street or public car pool couple miles north-snowmobilers park there rigs there in winter, Kal-Haven Trail and gas station across the street. Skis Bar And Grill 1 Mile To The North, Town about 1 mile to the south. Easy To Get Onto The Trail From There-Favorite Spot For Local Snowmobilers And Locals. Timberridge and Bittersweet about 20-25 minutes away.

Snowmobilers will love location in regards to trails, lawton, paw paw, gobles, allegan. Good parking for trailer and cars. close to bars and town for food and drink. Ice fisherman enjoy Maple lake, it is heavily fished by locals. Downhill skiers Timberldge and Bittersweet 15-20 minutes away. The maple isle boat lauch across the street offers overflow parking.

I have limited internet access at work and sometimes on weekends, my cell is the best contact, leave a number and best time to reach you please. I will try to be brief when return your call and answer questions to keep your phone bill to a minimum.

RELAXING AND CLEAN VACATION HOME

We stayed at this home in September for a long weekend. It was very well maintained and clean. The boat came in handy for fishing trips in the lake. It was quiet and the owner was very accomodating and prompt on returning the security deposit. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in the PawPaw area.PawPaw is a delightful lttle town.

Lake property

The house was very clean, updated and well maintained. Lake was very nice. Customer service was very good until after our stay. Description of the house was deceptive--only the living room was air conditioned--if it had been hot it would have been very uncomfortable. Also is you are looking for peace and quiet, this isn't the place . The house was right off a very busy street. Also had to wait a month for our check after going back and forth with owner with many excuses why he didn't send it. Would not recommend this property to anyone.
Owner's Response: Upon leaving guest wrote letter enjoyed our stay and the place left on table.

Guest left email where to send check I mailed it out promptly, she later asked me to send to another location.
Have vacan t lot next to home huge trees 40' high, lots of shade, 12" insulation attic, window air conditioner works great if close windows. Home sits on dead end, private road, I only one that have a vacant lot which is next to public road. Have great neighbors and they have younger grand kids, well behaved, not rowdy.

great fishing spot

took a few friends here for a weekend fishing getaway and was more than impressed with everything. the lake was filled with great fishing, there were hot spots all over the lake off the backyard and even more at the adjacent lake. the owner was more than helpful with anything we needed. we will definitely be planning to come back.

Perfect Home Away From Home!

Arrived March 20, 2009 and left March 22, 2009. Perfect place to "get away from it all." Very clean, cozy, nice decor. The whole cottage has been newly renovated, and very nicely, I might add. Bed was especially comfortable! Mark was very congenial, and my deposit was returned promptly. Paw Paw, which is about a mile away, is a delightful small town, and those I dealt with there were exceptionally friendly. Will return in the summer with my children and grandchild to take advantage of the fishing, sandy beach, great restaurants, nearby Maple Island, as well as entertainment provided in nearby Kalamazoo and South Haven. I would strongly recommend not only this area of Michigan in general, but this rental property in particular to those seeking accommodation.
