A perfect all year round vacation home. Conveniently located just a short walk or bike ride (approx. 3/4 mile) from Boyne City's Main street shopping and fabulous restaurants. Public access to Lake Charlevoix with a small beach is one block away; a public boat launch is a few hundred feet away; Young State Park is one mile away; and Boyne Mtn. Golf and Ski Resort is seven miles away.
Ranch-styled home sits above the Lake Charlevoix shoreline giving you a relaxing view of a true Michigan treasure. Very spacious and clean with an adjoining door to a second unit for families and friends vacationing together. A large private backyard is perfect for daily play and evening campfires. And, we have yet to see a mosquito!!
A 25' x 25' great room, with a view of Lake Charlevoix, is perfect for a large gathering or families just needing extra room. This room was once a store front for a small business and has unique characteristics with a nautical theme. The master bedroom includes a queen-sized bed and wood-burning fireplace, the second bedroom has a set of built-in bunks, and the great room includes a pull-out sofa.
Guests who have enjoyed their stay typically participate in outdoor activities and/or nearby attractions and appreciate a clutter-free home at an affordable price. We do not recommend our home to families with young children who need constant supervision or guests with physical limitations that prevent them from climbing steps.
The south unit, built in the 1940s, is primarily available for vacationers with enough beds for six (6) people and enough floor space for two (2) more. This unit has a maximum occupancy of eight (8) people with a maximum of four (4) adults. The north unit, a later addition, can be rented as an additional unit for larger families or more than one family traveling together however the time available is limited. We do not allow smoking or pets.

Our names are John and Jackie and we live in the Grand Rapids area in Michigan. We enjoy many outdoor activities including downhill skiing, hiking, biking and sailing. We purchased our home on December 26, 2007 just in time to spend New Years Eve at our vacation home.

Boyne City is in the heart of Boyne Country. There are many things to do in the area both inside and out. Many people come back to Boyne City year after year. It is within 20 minutes of the very popular tourist destinations of Petoskey and Charlevoix, yet it is quieter and less crowded. Boyne City is located on Lake Charlevoix, a large lake known for fishing and boating. Boyne City is very convenient for us to enjoy skiing in the winter and water activities in the summer.
Our home is within 1 mile of Boyne City Mainstreet and Young State Park and has a wonderful view of Lake Charlevoix. The grocery story is within walking distance. There is also a small public access within a few hundred yards of our home. Everything is close by. Our home is a two-unit home. We use one unit as our vacation home and the other is rented to vacationers. Because we do not have to share the time, there are plenty of dates to choose from when planning your vacation. We periodically rent out our unit when two families would like to vacation together but still want their own space.
