The city of Galveston has done a great job of cleaning up the beaches and opening up restaurants and attractions, so it's time to come back! The Sea Biscuit is a short golf cart (provided) ride away from the beach so that you and your group can play all day and relax all night. Despite its proximity to the big city, this retreat really allows you to get away from it all. Inside the house we have broadband internet access, a big screen TV with satellite, DVD player, washer and dryer, surround sound with an IPOD connection, Super Nintendo and board games. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, coffee maker, toaster oven, microwave, griddle and a full sized refrigerator. Outside we have two lounge areas to enjoy the view of the bay, the beach and a nature preserve. Grill your dinner on the gas grill looking out over the water. There's no doubt you and your guests will appreciate the peaceful ambiance of the west end of Galveston. We welcome you back to the beach!

Our home is located in Isla del Sol, a deed restricted neighborhood located 15 miles from the seawall, which means you are close enough to the action, but far enough away to have peace and quiet. The beach is close to the house and the bay is one house away as you can see from the pictures. Although the beach is 6 blocks away, we will allow licensed drivers the ability to use our golf cart to get there. This is a fun, hassle-free way to enjoy the beautiful, uncrowded beaches. The neighborhood also has a private fishing pier, which is a great place to catch flounder and a lot of fun for kids and adults alike. Galveston Island has an endless supply of fun things to go to like Schlitterbahn, Moody Gardens and the Strand.

The Sea Buscuit Is the Place to Be

We had a wonderful stay at the Sea Biscuit. The beach home was very cozy and a great start to our vacation. The home was fully stocked with all the amenities we needed and I mean everything you could ever need is there. The golf cart made it a breeze to get to and from the beach. My little nephew loved it especially when he was able to ride up front to the beach. The property was well maintained and clean. The owner was very nice and helpful with all our reservation questions. I highly recommend staying at this beautiful vacation home. We will definitely stay there again.

So much fun!

Our group of 9,stayed at the "Sea biscuit", for 2 nights in August.
We had the best time, and so much fun. The house was very comfortable, well equipped and perfect for our vacation.
I highly recommend staying at this lovely home, If you are planning to visit Galveston.

It is a beautiful house and great location! Our two families (6 total) had a fantastic time!!! It rained part of the time, but that didn't dampen our spirits because we just watched DVDs inside instead! We will definitely return!!! Thanks for the fabulous house!! The Territos

Great Galveston Value

Our family of 5 (kids 15, 12 and 8) had a great time. The golf cart rides to the beach and to the bay side fishing dock were a big hit. Schlitterbahn about 12 miles away. Nice and quiet neighborhood. House had all the necessary amenities, though my 15 year old had to work to figure out how to access the satellite signal through the large screen TV. The outdoor shower was a great idea in this area (for "de-sanding" from beach trips). Tandem bicycle and other bikes also available in the storage shed. The deck was a hit with the wife, as she took in the constant breeze with a novel. Just be ready to go inside as dusk nears (mosquitos!). All in all, a great family stay-and-play destination as Galveston resurrects itself from Ike. Only reason for not rating excellent is that AC had to be turned on when we arrived, and it took a good 90 minutes before it was tolerable inside.

What a wonderful stay we had, the beach was not crowded at all and the house was great.....you don't need to bring anything but food and your swimsuit. The golf cart was a big hit and helped in getting to the beach. It was so quiet and a great place to getaway from the big city!!! Shannon 6-30-09
