Truth in Adverstising

Truth in advertising is important when booking a place online. The pictures do not do it justice. The house was clean as was the housing community it's in. The rooms were a comfortable size. There are great views of the bay from most rooms, and it's at the end of a cul de sac.
The Seabiscuit was the best priced for our criteria, one of which is that it had 3 separate bedrooms (some count the hidabed in the living room as a bedroom). The rooms were spacious, and truly the only thing you need to bring is food! We chose to buy at a little supermarket a couple of miles down the road instead, but there is a Walmart, Kroger, and Randall's further in town.
We are not "beach" people, but it's just a few blocks away. You can take the golf cart or bikes over, or even walk.
A favorite place to eat lunch is the Sunflower Bakery and Cafe. We liked it so well, we ate there twice. Between the four of us we had sandwiches (Cuban and Reuben), salads, tomato basil soup, chicken fried steak, and the desserts, which are wonderful. Great prices, great staff.
Across the hallway from Sunflower is a neat antique store, and they sell some great hand salts (you can sample one in the bathrooms in the hallway).
We took the free ferry ride over to Bolivar Peninsula, and while there isn't a lot to see on BP, it's a neat experience if you've never been on a ferry, BP does have nice beaches that you can drive down in your car, and we did see 3 different sets of dolphins on the ferry ride.
We would also recommend the tours of Moody Mansion and Bishop's Palace. If choosing one, we'd say the Moody and ask for Claire's schedule. She knows so much about it she makes the family and the era come alive.
The Aquarium was fun. The penguin and sea lion exhibits were very entertaining, as was the glass fish tunnel you walk through. The sharks aren't huge, but bigger than I would want to tangle with!
The favorite part for me was simply starting the day with coffee and ending it with a root beer on the upper deck listening to the ocean. I miss that!!
We will definitely be staying again, hopefully this summer, but definitely this winter!
