Newly built in 2003, the Bungalow is located on top of Warrior Mountain, offering stunning and extensive views of South Carolina Piedmont. This home has all pine floors and pine ceilings and sleeps up to 4 comfortably. Located just 6 miles from I-26, which means shopping and entertainment are minutes away. This is truly a one of a kind home that must be visited. The Bungalow has 2 Bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Each bedroom has a queen size bed and the family room has a queen size sleeper sofa.
Saluda and Tryon are located in Polk County, that are hosts to numerous antique shops; restaurants for everyone's palate; a winery; and many scenic attractions: Pearsons Waterfalls, Pacolet River, Foothills Equestrian Nature Center, Tryon Fine Art Center and lots of live entertainment. Nearby attractions include the Biltmore Estate, Blue Ridge Parkway, Brevard Music Center, Chimney Rock Park, and Lake Lure.
What a wonderful stay we had at your cabin. Great food in Saluda, fly fishing on the Davidson River, and to top it all off.. we woke up to snow this morning. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect get-away. The views are un-matched!
My wife and I stayed at this home for our 15th anniversary. Pictures do not do this place justice. The views are really unbelievable. We were close to Saluda, Tryon, Hendersonville and Flat Rock for all sorts of possible eating and entertainment possibilities.
When available try Green River Adventures too along with hiking the many nearby trails for the outdoors types. If that is not your speed then relaxing with a book, catching a play or local live music is available.
The satelite was out for our trip, but we didn't notice we stayed so busy hiking and kayaking, dining, etc.
We arrived to find the bungalow clean, comfortable, and quiet, with huge windows overlooking the mountainside. Lots of entertainment was available and the kitchen was well equipped.
Just as we were preparing to depart from the Bungalow the faucets ran dry. Hopefully that was just because we had all just showered(?)
Access was a bit challenging but the gravel drive was in good shape as advertised and the directions to the bungalow were great.
We would definitely stay there again if we come back to Saluda (great little town with good restaraunts).
We spent our family vacation here, and boy was it a vacation! The cabin is wonderfully secluded, perched high on the top of the mountain, with a breathtaking view. Surrounded by trees and foliage of all kinds, so beautiful. The cool mountain air was so refreshing, most of the time we just left the A/C off and opened all the windows and doors to let in the cool breeze (the windows and doors have screens). The floor-to-ceiling windows offer such a beautiful view, and if the sun's too bright, just pull the blinds down. The Bungalow had all the amenities you could ask for, except for maybe a jacuzzi :) The widescreen TV + DVD player was great for our little boy to be entertained with. Comfy beds, ceiling fans, washer/dryer, all that good stuff!
The road to the top of the mountain is steep, but we ended up making it up just fine with our little sedan (you don't need a beast of an SUV to get there).
We're already hoping to return in the fall!
We spent 8 wonderful nights at this lovely well-equipped cabin with a spectacular view. The sunrises are definitely worth getting up for and we did! The cabin is within easy driving distance of major attractions, restaurants, shopping and you are surrounded by mountains and beautiful scenery wherever you go. We feel very fortunate to have found this rental and Karla made the whole process so easy. The cabin offers total privacy and we really hated to leave as we had settled in so nicely.
This home is set high above the town of Tryon, but is convenient to the shops and activities of Landrum, Tryon, Saluda, as well as Hendersonville and Asheville. It was a great weekend getaway for us because it was so close to Greenville and easy to find even though the roads to the house are small and winding. The bungalow is well furnished, the beds are very comfortable and there is plenty of room without feeling too spacious for two. The full wall windows in the upstairs bedroom and living room make it easy to view the spectacular sunrises that let you know how the road the bungalow is on got its name. Make sure to plan for lunch at Side Street Pizza and Pasta and a casual, but gourmet dinner at the Purple Onion in Saluda. We also took a side trip to Rock House Vineyards outside of Columbus, NC. What a great weekend!
Breathtaking is a mild term for the views in this place. Amazing and vertigo-inspiring - feel like you are on the side of a mountain - which you are. Well appointed kitchen, lovely bedrooms and tons of space. Great vacation spot.
There are many nearby attractions to visit , if you can part from the amazing views at the Bungalow. The Biltmore Estate in Asheville only 45 minutes away, Blue Ridge Parkway, Brevard Music Center, Chimney Rock Park, Connemara, Home of Carl Sandburg, Cradle of Forestry, Brevard, Flat Rock Playhouse, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Hendersonville and Historic Flat Rock, Hickory Nut Gorge and Lake Lure, and North Carolina Arboretum.
