Construction Completion Details: SkiEsta is designed as a 10 bedroom home that sleeps 38 people. The home is divided into two units and can be rented as a 6BR, sleeps 24; a 4 BR which sleeps 14; or the entire home. On November 1st, the main portion of the house (6BR, sleeps 24) will be completed. We are currently offering that for rent and the pricing reflects that. The completion date on the lower level, 4BR unit is December 15th. The home is completely sound-proofed, with three inches of concrete poured on every floor, insulation between all floors and interior partitions, and Soundbreak acoustical drywall in between units and other high noise areas. There will be no construction allowed during guest occupancy.
Interior Finish Expectations: To get a sense of what the finished home will look like inside, we encourage you to view our other properties and read guest comments. Each bedroom has custom made/designed bedding and window treatments. All of the furniture was purchased either from specialty retailers and craftsmen or in High Point, North Carolina -- the furniture capital of the USA. The house will feature a number of custom built-ins -- two window seats, sleeping platforms, entertainment units, cabinets, mud-room seating, ski-pegs, hat/mitten/boot shelving, bay window seat, etc. The design work in the flooring in every room is outstanding and unlike anything you have every seen before. The magnificent arched timber trusses and the one of a kind 40 foot masonry fireplace are truly unique. The central staircase is mahogany with black iron balusters. There are 5 custom tile, granite, travertine, & marble showers. The kitchen will not only please your family chef but may very well earn a feature magazine spread.

Our homes are also a special place for couples that have chosen them as the location for their family wedding. In addition to hosting large family groups in our homes for the last 12 years, we too vacation with up to seven families every year and put our homes through the same paces that you will. Ski: Sunday River is often referred to as the Vail of the East. Boasting 8 peaks and infinite terrain, this mountain has something for skiers of all levels: 131 trails; 8 interconnected mountain peaks (White Cap, Locke Mountain, Barker Mountain, Spruce Peak, North Peak, Aurora Peak, Oz, Jordan Bowl); 18 lifts including 4 hi-speed quads and a brand new chondola!; as a result of their advance snow making -- the 'most dependable snow in the East'; 80% of the terrain is covered by the resorts snow making equipment -- as long as the weather is cold, you can depend on Sunday River skiing to be fantastic! Sunday River is also home to 6 terrain parks and in 2008 was the mountain where the new world quarter pipe record was set by Simon Dumont -- 35 feet!! If you are just learning to ski or need a refresher, Sunday River's Perfect Turn Ski School is one of the top ski clinics in the East -- lot's of classes and one on one instruction -- guaranteed to make skiers or snow boarders out of your kids
Golf: The Sunday River Area is home to two fabulous golf courses: The Sunday River Golf Club and The Bethel Inn Resort Golf Course. The Sunday River Golf Club was completed in 2005 and has won recognition as one of the best courses around: Golf Digest -- Top Ten Best New Upscale Public Courses; Travel + Leisure Golf -- Top Ten Best New Courses in the World; Golfweek -- #1 Course in Maine; GolfStyles New England -- Public Course of the Year. The Bethel Inn Golf Course is a 6,663 yard, par 72 course that was originally built in 1913 and redesigned in 1988: America's Greatest Golf Resorts magazine -- Top Ten Courses in the Northeast; Golf Digest -- 3 1/2 stars; the course is home to New England PGA Fall Festival Pro-Am and the New England Couples Tournament.
Guest Book: 'Another wonderful vacation at Sea Esta. We love your home. The new appliances in the kitchen are fantastic, the new walk way over the dunes is so much easier and we saw spectacular fireworks from there on the 4th. Our Grandchildren spent hours in the pool and we have come to think of Sea Esta as our second home. One of our Grandson's said after coming home that he 'wanted to go back to Granmom's beach house'. This was our fourth house rental on the Outer Banks! Nothing could improve this house and our stay. My mother is slightly handicapped so the elevator and all the ramps were a godsend! We have two dogs, and the way the decking and ramps all had gates made it perfect to keep pets and children in. Breathtaking views, beautiful furniture, a kitchen I did not want to leave!
