Quiet neighbourhood near La Sella Mariott, 8 min to beaches/ golf/ tennis/ Denia

An automatic gate and a broad, palm-lined gravel driveway are leading towards the wide open staircase of the villa.

The entrance hall with its 7m ceilings leads to the spacious 50 sqm, light-filled living area with fireplace, large LCD TV, digital satellite receiver, DVD player and stereo. The living room with gallery, partially 7m ceilings and spectacular aspects of the fecetted window offers comfortable seating for eight.

A wide sliding door separates the living area from the dining area with an American kitchen, a dining table for up to 14 people and a bar counter.

The kitchen is equipped with dishwasher, gas stove, oven, fridge & freezer, various coffee machines (including Nespresso so please bring your Capsules if desired), microwave, kettle and toaster.

All bedrooms, living area and dressing room/study are equipped with airconditioning for cooling/ heating. The villa is a state-of-the-art construction with insulated walls, double glazed windows and mosquito mesh.

The Master Suite on the 1st floor has a fantastic view of theMontgo mountain , and includes a dressing room/ study with an additional sofa bed. The Master Suite has a private bathroom with shower, toilet and bidet.

On the opposite side of the spectacular gallery on the 1st Floor overlooking the living room and the large facetted window, there are two bedrooms with two single beds each and a bathroom with shower and toilet.

Bedroom/ Bathroom 2 (shower & WC) are located on the ground floor, Bedroom 5, as well as Bathroom 4 (shower & WC) are located in the basement, accessible via an internal staircase.In the basement there is also a utility room with washing machine, dryer and additional beverage fridge.

From the dining area as well as from the living room there is direct access to two large sun terraces with a total area of 100 sqm. Here you will find 8 sun loungers/ deck chairs and ten partially covered dining seats at two tables to relax. Directly adjacent to the dining terrace ther is a neatly trimmed, spacious lawn area and the mosaic swimming pool with Roman Stairs.

For use on the terrace there is a charcoal grill, a gas grill and a paella pan for 16 persons at your disposal. Upon request and at separate charge, we can provide a cook who can arrange a traditional Spanish paella evening event.

In the upper part of the property you will find additional sitting and lounging areas in the shade of the pine trees.

In the lower part of the property, there is a horse stable with three horseboxes, which is no longer in use. However, the Paddock/ riding arena is also an ideal football/ soccer field. Upon request, you may also bring your own horses, all equipment and devices of the stable are fully functional. Long term rental accommodation with horses upon request. Next to the Terrace there is a small children's playing area with swings, a slide and a sandbox.

The villa has WiFi Internet access with 100MB usage volume per day at UMTS/3G speed, beyond that the provider will throttle the speed down to GPRS. Internet access is included in the rent.

The surroundings and the town of Denia:

The center of the La Sella gated community with a small supermarket, a pharmacy, a pizzeria / bar, a bicycle rental, a horsback riding club and 10 tennis courts is only a ten minute walk away.

The 27-hole golf course of La Sella and the 5-star Marriott hotel is located just 5 minutes by car. To the nearby golf courses in Javea (18 holes) and Oliva (18 holes) it is only about 15 or 20 minutes by car.

To the beautiful sandy beaches, the numerous restaurants and the vibrant, summery nightlife of Denia it is just under 10 minutes by car. The shopping center Portal de la Marina with over 100 stores on 90 000sqm retail space is also only about 5 minutes away by car.

Nearby destinations for excursions include a variety of natural attractions such as the Montgo Natural Park, the waterfalls of Algar (with the possibility to swim in the cool mountain stream), various theme parks (Terra Mitica, Terra Natura and Aqualandia), go-kart tracks, the beautiful sandy beaches of Oliva, which stand up to any comparison with Ibiza. And of course Valencia and its cultural offerings, such as the Opera, and the Oceanographic aquarium.

The airports of Alicante and Valencia are each about an hour's drive away and are regularly served by airlines from all over Europe. At the airports there are numerours car rental opportunities available . A pick-up service can be arranged for about EUR 85. In order to fully enjoy all the attractions of the region, it is advisable to have a car available.

The cities of Denia and Javea have some 50.000 inhabitants each, beautiful historic centers and a naturally grown infrastructure without 'eyesores'. Beautiful shopping streets with many bars and bistros, a diverse offering of restaurants (from top-range to good value) and very good shopping facilities, such as the covered market, supermarkets, shops and boutiques invite you to stroll. The new marina with its numerous bars and restaurants is a top attraction, especially in the evening. Between the beach club, the new marina and the ferry terminal there is a shuttle boat service every half hour during summer time, so you don't miss an attraction.

The climate and the region:

There is a wonderful climate all year round, winter daytime temperatures rarely fall below 12 degrees and in summer there is always a gentle breeze at temperatures around 30 degrees. The locals say, that the two small mountains of La Sella and the majestic mountain of Montgo right opposite are a 'magic place'.

The area around Denia, Javea and Calpe has a microclimate caused by the 'peninsula' position at the 'Cabo de la Nao'. There is no mass tourism, the 16 kilometers of sandy beach and 4 kilometers of rocky coastline of Denia are amongst the most beautiful in Spain.

The immediate surroundings of the villa are dominated by orange, lemon and almond groves. The mountainous hinterland provides ideal opportunities for trips, mountain hiking, motorcycle- or bicycle tours, interesting antiques and flea markets in the villages as well as good and affordable local food at the wine villages (most typical paella -valenciana).

Security Deposit EUR 750,- refundable after 4 weeks (availability of phone bill), less any damage to the house, gas and electricity consumption and fixed line phone usage. Down payment of 25% of the rent upon booking, the down payment is not refundable if canceled.

The Security Deposit and the remaining 75% of the rent is payable six weeks prior to departure.

Additional charges: Cleaning / (intermediate cleaning if desired) EUR 150, -, in case of domestic animals an additional 50, -, bed linen / towels 12, - per person (per change if desired) payable in cash to the caretaker of the villa.

Rental prices during main season include the use of pool and air conditioning systems including 100kWh of electricity consumption (sufficient for normal A/C use), water and gas. Telephone calls over the landline telephone installed in the house will be deducted from the deposit according to the bill from the fixed line provider Telefonica.

During pre- and off-season there is an additional charge for electricity and gas consumption according to meter reading for the heating and air conditioning systems. These will be deducted form the deposit but should be no more than app. EUR 200, - / week with moderate average winter temperatures (around 10-14 degrees Celsius) and normal use of gas central heating and air conditioning.

Spanien im Frühjahr

Wir haben dieses Jahr Villa Albarda für unseren Urlaub im März gewählt und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Mit mehreren Freundinnen (insgesamt 8 Personen) haben wir die Vorzüge dieses Hauses genossen. Der traumhaft angelegte Garten und das große Haus waren wunderbar, jeder findet ein ruhiges Plätzchen drinnen oder draußen um sich zurückzuziehen.

Die Lage der Villa ist wunderschön mit Blick auf die beiden Hügel von La Sella, auf der anderen Seite ragt der eindrucksvolle Berg Montgo empor und in der Ferne ist das Meer und Denia zu sehen.

Die Terrassen rund um den Pool und der Rasen sind großzügig angelegt und gut gepflegt. Um den Pool gibt es den ganzen Tag viel Sonne, aber man kann sich auch im Schatten unter der Pergola oder unter den Pinien im oberen Teil des Grundstücks aufhalten. Da wir die ganze Zeit tolles Wetter hatten, konnten wir hier die warme Märzsonne genießen. Es stehen zahlreiche Sitzgelegenheiten, Sonnenliegen und Hängematten zur Verfügung.

Da es abends doch noch etwas kühl wurde habe wir auch die sehr modernen Klimaanlagen mit Heizfunktion in allen Schlafzimmern sowie im Wohn- und Arbeitszimmer schätzen gelernt, auch den Kamin im Wohnzimmer haben wir einige Male genutzt.

Das wunderbare Haus und die perfekte Betreuung entsprachen den Beschreibungen auf der Website, was in anderen Ferienhäusern nicht immer der Fall war . Wir haben das Haus in einem sauberen und sehr gepflegten Zustand vorgefunden, der Pool war gepflegt und immer sauber, da der Poolmann anscheinend zweimal pro Woche kam, von dem wir aber fast nichts mitbekommen haben.

Wir hatten alles für einen entspannten Urlaub - wir haben jeden Tag gekocht oder gegrillt, die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet mit Spülmaschine und genügend Geschirr und Besteck und auch der ambitionierte Koch wird nichts vermissen. In ca. 5-10 Autominuten sind verschiedene Einkaufsmöglichkeiten zu erreichen. Wir haben auch schnell den Trinkwasserservice zu schätzen gelernt, der 20l Kanister für ca. 5 Euro direkt in die Küche bringt und uns das Schleppen von Wasserflaschen beim Einkaufen erspart hat.

Wir würden dieses Haus jederzeit weiterempfehlen auch für Familien mit Kinder, es gibt viele Spiele und DVDs für Kinder sowie einen kleinen Spielplatz mit Sandkasten neben dem Haus und zahlreiche aufblasbare Poolspielzeuge.

Wonderful time

This was our first visit to Villa Albarda and we had a wonderful family holiday here with six adults and four kids.
 
We loved the sense of space and the mix of classic and contemporary style throughout the villa. The master suite is amazing and the other bedrooms were a good size too. The place is clean, airy, cool and really nicely decorated, I loved the “fish artwork” on the chimney and would immediately get one for our home, if I knew where to buy it.
 
The villa was immaculately clean, spacious, extremely well designed and equipped with everything you could possibly need, a second fridge, a tabletop wine fridge and a barbecue outside. There is also a large flat-screen with UK SAT TV, a DVD and a hifi-stereo with speakers, nothing is missing including WIFI.
 
All the bedrooms and the living room have the latest air conditioning technology. The fact that there are four bathrooms for five bedrooms is also a bonus.
 
The location is really quiet at the foot of La Sella and it has great views on the Montgo mountain as well as Denia and the Mediterranean. The garden is lush and pleasant with a nice cool area beneath the pine trees to sit with a book or a glass of wine or to just chill in one of the hammocks.
 
The pool area is very private and gets the sun all day long - perfect! The owners provide lots of things that we didn't expect - toys for the pool and the sandbox, all kind of balls and Frisbees for the soccer field, games, books and DVDs which were good for settling the kids.
 
Within 5 to 10 minutes you can have supermarkets, shopping centers (in Denia, Ondara or Javea), restaurants and bars (in Denia or Javea) and beaches as well as all kind of sports activities like Golf, Tennis, Sailing, Windsurfing and Scuba Diving.
 
We would highly recommend this villa to a family, who would like quiet holidays with nothing to worry and a high level of quality. The customer service from the owners and the housekeeper was great too - really helpful in terms of meeting our needs and providing information prior to arrival. The weather was also fantastic and Denia and Javea had lots to offer for all of our party.

Erholsamer Herbsturlaub in luxuriösem Ambiente

Mit unseren drei Jungs (15/13/10) haben wir hier zur vollsten Zufriedenheit eine wunderschöne Woche unserer Herbstferien verbracht.
Das Haus ist geschmackvoll und zugleich gemütlich eingerichtet.
Die Zimmer sind hell und freundlich, aus jedem Fenster ein schöner Blick.
Die Küche ist praktisch eingerichtet und stellt mehrere Ladungen Geschirr, Besteck und Töpfe zur Verfügung, sodass man nicht immer gleich wieder die Spülmaschine anmachen muss.
Technik und Geräte sind alle hochwertig und modern.
Wir hatten warmes und sonniges Wetter ideal noch zum Baden. Die Kinder waren täglich im Pool.
Die Villa mit ihrem großen Grundstück und den vielen Bäumen liegt sehr ruhig, alle benachbarten Grundstücke sind auch sehr groß und weitläufig, ideal zum Durchatmen und Entspannen.
Wir haben fast täglich gegrillt. Drei Einkaufshäuser liegen in erreichbarer Umgebung (5-10 min. mit dem Auto); alle haben eine super Frischfisch-Theke mit Fisch zu sensationellen Preisen.
Der Garten-Gasgrill hat verschiedene Heizflächen ideal auch zum Fischgrillen.
Eigentlich wollten wir noch mehr die Umgebung erkunden in dieser Woche, da aber die Kinder vom Haus und dem Pool nicht wegzukriegen waren, sind wir über Einkaufstouren nicht hinaus gekommen.
Die ganze Familie ist sich daher einig, dass wir in diesem Haus bald wieder Urlaub machen werden.
Vielleicht lernen wir dann auch noch die Umgebung besser kennen.
