All bedrooms, living area and dressing room/study are equipped with airconditioning for cooling/ heating. The villa is a state-of-the-art construction with insulated walls, double glazed windows and mosquito mesh.
The Master Suite on the 1st floor has a fantastic view of theMontgo mountain , and includes a dressing room/ study with an additional sofa bed. The Master Suite has a private bathroom with shower, toilet and bidet.
On the opposite side of the spectacular gallery on the 1st Floor overlooking the living room and the large facetted window, there are two bedrooms with two single beds each and a bathroom with shower and toilet.
Bedroom/ Bathroom 2 (shower & WC) are located on the ground floor, Bedroom 5, as well as Bathroom 4 (shower & WC) are located in the basement, accessible via an internal staircase.In the basement there is also a utility room with washing machine, dryer and additional beverage fridge.
From the dining area as well as from the living room there is direct access to two large sun terraces with a total area of 100 sqm. Here you will find 8 sun loungers/ deck chairs and ten partially covered dining seats at two tables to relax. Directly adjacent to the dining terrace ther is a neatly trimmed, spacious lawn area and the mosaic swimming pool with Roman Stairs.
For use on the terrace there is a charcoal grill, a gas grill and a paella pan for 16 persons at your disposal. Upon request and at separate charge, we can provide a cook who can arrange a traditional Spanish paella evening event.
In the upper part of the property you will find additional sitting and lounging areas in the shade of the pine trees.
In the lower part of the property, there is a horse stable with three horseboxes, which is no longer in use. However, the Paddock/ riding arena is also an ideal football/ soccer field. Upon request, you may also bring your own horses, all equipment and devices of the stable are fully functional. Long term rental accommodation with horses upon request. Next to the Terrace there is a small children's playing area with swings, a slide and a sandbox.
The villa has WiFi Internet access with 100MB usage volume per day at UMTS/3G speed, beyond that the provider will throttle the speed down to GPRS. Internet access is included in the rent.
The surroundings and the town of Denia:
The center of the La Sella gated community with a small supermarket, a pharmacy, a pizzeria / bar, a bicycle rental, a horsback riding club and 10 tennis courts is only a ten minute walk away.
The 27-hole golf course of La Sella and the 5-star Marriott hotel is located just 5 minutes by car. To the nearby golf courses in Javea (18 holes) and Oliva (18 holes) it is only about 15 or 20 minutes by car.
To the beautiful sandy beaches, the numerous restaurants and the vibrant, summery nightlife of Denia it is just under 10 minutes by car. The shopping center Portal de la Marina with over 100 stores on 90 000sqm retail space is also only about 5 minutes away by car.
Nearby destinations for excursions include a variety of natural attractions such as the Montgo Natural Park, the waterfalls of Algar (with the possibility to swim in the cool mountain stream), various theme parks (Terra Mitica, Terra Natura and Aqualandia), go-kart tracks, the beautiful sandy beaches of Oliva, which stand up to any comparison with Ibiza. And of course Valencia and its cultural offerings, such as the Opera, and the Oceanographic aquarium.
The airports of Alicante and Valencia are each about an hour's drive away and are regularly served by airlines from all over Europe. At the airports there are numerours car rental opportunities available . A pick-up service can be arranged for about EUR 85. In order to fully enjoy all the attractions of the region, it is advisable to have a car available.
The cities of Denia and Javea have some 50.000 inhabitants each, beautiful historic centers and a naturally grown infrastructure without 'eyesores'. Beautiful shopping streets with many bars and bistros, a diverse offering of restaurants (from top-range to good value) and very good shopping facilities, such as the covered market, supermarkets, shops and boutiques invite you to stroll. The new marina with its numerous bars and restaurants is a top attraction, especially in the evening. Between the beach club, the new marina and the ferry terminal there is a shuttle boat service every half hour during summer time, so you don't miss an attraction.
The climate and the region:
There is a wonderful climate all year round, winter daytime temperatures rarely fall below 12 degrees and in summer there is always a gentle breeze at temperatures around 30 degrees. The locals say, that the two small mountains of La Sella and the majestic mountain of Montgo right opposite are a 'magic place'.
The area around Denia, Javea and Calpe has a microclimate caused by the 'peninsula' position at the 'Cabo de la Nao'. There is no mass tourism, the 16 kilometers of sandy beach and 4 kilometers of rocky coastline of Denia are amongst the most beautiful in Spain.
The immediate surroundings of the villa are dominated by orange, lemon and almond groves. The mountainous hinterland provides ideal opportunities for trips, mountain hiking, motorcycle- or bicycle tours, interesting antiques and flea markets in the villages as well as good and affordable local food at the wine villages (most typical paella -valenciana).
Security Deposit EUR 750,- refundable after 4 weeks (availability of phone bill), less any damage to the house, gas and electricity consumption and fixed line phone usage. Down payment of 25% of the rent upon booking, the down payment is not refundable if canceled.
The Security Deposit and the remaining 75% of the rent is payable six weeks prior to departure.
Additional charges: Cleaning / (intermediate cleaning if desired) EUR 150, -, in case of domestic animals an additional 50, -, bed linen / towels 12, - per person (per change if desired) payable in cash to the caretaker of the villa.
Rental prices during main season include the use of pool and air conditioning systems including 100kWh of electricity consumption (sufficient for normal A/C use), water and gas. Telephone calls over the landline telephone installed in the house will be deducted from the deposit according to the bill from the fixed line provider Telefonica.
During pre- and off-season there is an additional charge for electricity and gas consumption according to meter reading for the heating and air conditioning systems. These will be deducted form the deposit but should be no more than app. EUR 200, - / week with moderate average winter temperatures (around 10-14 degrees Celsius) and normal use of gas central heating and air conditioning.
