Wonderful Costa Rica getaway property

Our group of 8 stayed at Casa Del Viento in April 2012. Our group was made up of 5 family and 3 friends. The property pictures were well represented and accurate. The location and the view is fantastic. From the patio/pool area you have a beautiful view of the Papagayo Bay looking towards the Four Seasons hotel peninsula location. The weather was wonderful, it only rained one night while we were there. Every morning, around 5:15 or so, you could hear howler monkeys in the hills nearby. However, we were never able to actually see them. Saw lots of beautiful birds from the patio. Karin and Maria visited every weekday and cleaned up after us. They even washed the towels we used out at the pool for us. The property owner was good about checking with us to insure we were settled in okay. I would recommend this property to any of my friends or family visiting the Papagayo Bay area of Costa Rica. If you stay here, be sure and have Rocio cook dinner for your group one or two nights. The food was excellent, and she just made it a lot of fun with her great presentation of the meal. Also the sunset sail boat cruise and catamaran cruises were lots of fun. Tico Tours did a great job of assisting us with our activities. The younger adults in our group did the Mira Mar zip line and rappell tour and loved it. We did the Palo Verde riverboat wild life tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. Check out the Llanos de Cortez waterfall if you're a waterfall lover. Take a picnic. It's worth the hour drive. Also drove to the Rincon de la Vieja volcano park. It's almost 2 hours away and some of the road is quite bumpy so be prepared for that if you go. We did a small 3 1/2 mile or so hike to view the fumaroles, boiling mud pots, and a small waterfall. This was also a fun activity. Overall we had a wonderful time. Pura Vida!

FYI spent a month sprucing up the place. Whole house repainted, regrouted etc. Your next trip will be a 6
