Photos and Description of the Condado vacation villa rental 3 Bedrooms, 2 Full Bathroom, Sleeps 6

Villa Arte is very close to the beach, close to Old San Juan and the El Morro Fort. Walk 2 blocks and you are at one of the most beautiful beaches in Puerto Rico. Walk another block and you are sitting at Starbucks having a coffee and looking at great shops for treasures. Down just a little ways you will find Christian Dior, Gucci and many more upscale shops and casinos. This is the trendy area of San Juan and people love this area because you always feel safe even walking in your bathing suit down to the store. One block away is a 24 hour mega super market for all your needs. Restaurants are all around in Condado, Isla Verde and Old San Juan. Try the Parrot Club, Tantra and Corazon Restaurants for great food and ambiance. Villa Arte is filled with great art, ultra modern kitchen and tranquil relaxing living room, a place to kick back after a day of enjoying Puerto Rico. Sit on the terrace and enjoy the wonderful weather. For more photos contact Greg Diaz

In Old San Juan see the Native American Museum, Art Galleries, and Local Artists on the streets, Street Music being played and more. Here is what one person said about the Condado beaches---- 'I would wake up in the morning and walk down here from our Villa and just the beach---it was so peaceful and no one bother me...everyone was so nice..and the beach was at one with me as I walked the beach line...the sunset was beautiful in the morning...when I told my mom ...2 wks later she walked the same beach..lol..I'm going back again one day”! You can wander around Old San Juan at night and take in the restaurants and also the salsa dancing. Only about 4 very small blocks from the beach--looks a lot longer on Google earth than it is.

Further details for this vacation villa rental in Condado, Puerto Rico

Walking Distance to Everything!: You can walk Old San Juan, the El Morro Fort, Paseo de la Princesa located in the southern tip of Old San Juan, this stylish promenade hosted a former Spanish prison, which now houses the Puerto Rico Tourism Company. It offers breathtaking views of the San Juan Bay and is bordered by a huge colonial wall. Several cultural activities are held here throughout the year. Walking the full promenade also offers views of Isla de Cabras , a beautiful small island located in the bay. The Paseo is the place for an afternoon 'Piragua', a traditional Puerto Rican sweet concoction made from ice and tropical fruit syrups. Enjoy the Heineken Jazz Fest--- This is one of the leading jazz events in the Caribbean and is held in various locations throughout San Juan. Latin Jazz, a musical genre garnering an increasingly large fan base, is at the heart of this week-long event that hosts both well-known local and international performers.

Visit the Rainforest, Cabo Rojo and Bacardi: One of the oldest protected areas in the Western Hemisphere, this pristine expanse looks much as it did when Christopher Columbus visited Puerto Rico 500 years ago. Start at the Portal Tropical Forest Center, and then follow a hiking trail to explore the natural splendors of this ecosystem. I personally take photos in the rainforest. My wife takes me to the top of the mountains by car and I walk all the way down. Great waterfalls, wonderful birds, giant ferns, huge bamboo and more. Another area I like to visit is the lighthouse in Cabo Rojo---this place reminds me of Monterey and Big Sur---crashing surf and huge cliffs adorn the grounds of the light house. Large ponds of salt where they make table salt change colors with crimson reds and purples. If you have not been here you are missing out on a fantastic sight---only a short day trip from Villa Arte. Then take the Bacardi Tour of all their wonderful rums near San Juan--3 free drinks---can't beat that!

Visit the Local Markets for great food, go diving: One of my favorite places in San Juan is the Market in Santurce---there you will find all kinds of fresh tropical fruits and veggies! Also there are great restaurants around the market with chairs outside to sit on---- and on the weekends they have live music---a great place to party---all within walking distance of Villa Arte. Also check out the Local Market in Rio Piedras if you are interested in the local foods and herbs. Take a catamaran tour of the islands for only $70 to $80 a person that will take you to great reefs for snorkeling or diving and includes a great lunch. Sing your way back to the dock as you drink wiki ticki drinks with rum and enjoy the sun as the girls walk down the beaches in those nice bikinis. On many of the beaches in Puerto Rico you will find the giant sea turtles nesting ---this is a great night adventure --- watching as they nest and lay their eggs, many people come to help protect these giants of the sea.

Ski: I can also send you a list of references for me Dr. Paul Haider if you like.

Golf: If you love golf, you're going to love Puerto Rico, the golf capital of the Caribbean. There are currently 23 spectacular golf courses on the island and six more are underway. You don't need to be a world champ to appreciate the beauty and variety of our courses. Most have been designed by golf luminaries such as Robert Trent Jones, his son Rees Jones, Greg Norman, George and Tom Fazio, Jack Nicklaus, Arthur Hills, and Puerto Rico's own Chi Chi Rodriguez. The courses are feats of landscape architecture that impress golfers and non-players alike. All of Puerto Rico's courses share the island's year-round summer weather, tempered by the cool, gentle breezes of the trade winds. You are almost guaranteed a brilliant tropical sky and glimpses of sparkling white sand beaches backed by the blue Atlantic or the turquoise Caribbean. The greens are truly green, planted with strains of Bermuda grass adapted for our climate, including Tiff Dwarf and GN1, a new hybrid, developed in Florida by Greg Norman. Many of our golf courses are part of world-class resorts, so after you have played to your heart's content, you can relax in the pool and recharge your batteries in the spa before getting back to breaking par. You don't have to be a hotel guest, however. All courses - except those on military installations, which are limited to authorized personnel - are open to the general public.

Great Place to stay and great location

Manuel & Newell Jacksonville Florida
Review Submitted: June 4, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
We stayed in Villa Arte during 5/15-24/09 and we had a wonderful time. Villa Arte is everything is said to be. It is a beautiful condo conveniently located at the Condado. It is off on a quite street away from all the noise but close enough to everything that you can leave your car parked at the condo’s gated parking garage and take a short walk up to all the nice restaurants, hotels and beaches. Parking in the Condado is hard to find, so this is a big plus! The Old San Juan is less than a 10 minute drive away. Tia Maria, Eros (Krash) and Atlantic Beach Hotel are all within walking distance. Villa Arte is absolutely beautiful. It is tastefully decorated with unique original pieces of arts throughout the property. The furniture and kitchen appliances and utensils are top notch. If you like to cook, the kitchen has everything you need to cook a nice meal and the 24 hour supermarket is within walking distance, although the market has plenty of parking. We just happen to take our I-Touch with us and it was great because the condo has an I-Pod/ I-Touch stereo as well as a wireless network. In the mornings it was nice to be able to open the large glass doors to both terraces and let the ocean breeze in or if it’s to hot, we had the option of turning on the A/C. During the time we were there the A/C was rarely needed.
In summary, if you are looking for an upscale comfortable condo in a convenient location in the Condado or San Juan area, this is the place. When we return to San Juan, we will definitely stay here again.

Jewel in San Juan

Don, San Juan lover Chicago, Illinois USA
Review Submitted: December 10, 2008 Date of Stay: November 2008
When I met Paul at the airport car rental facility, he was even more personable and accommodating than he was on the phone. That indeed was a tough act to follow, given the great conversations we had prior to my arrival. After the short drive to the condo I was pleasantly surprised to see the beautiful building and the secure parking. We walked up the stairs, Paul does not like elevators, he also helped me with my luggage, and when he opened the door I could not believe my eyes. I told him immediately that the pictures on Home Away do not nearly justify this remarkable condo.

He took me to the master bedroom first. Perfect was all I could say. The walk in closet was filled with tons of plush towns, sateen linens, extra pillow, blankets and anything else you could need to be in total comfort. Such creature comforts as a bidet. Where do you see that, France? The other two bedrooms are comfortable, large closets and a second large two room bath they share.

An interesting array of artwork, I myself really appreciated it. The lovely living/dining area, with the dining table cleverly placed between the two balconies, was perfect. All tables frosted glass, all windows and sliding glass doors also frosted glass, created a bright airy yet not blinding by direct sunlight atmosphere. White floors, white area rugs, 75 potted plants on the balconies, beautiful orchids blooming all over the place, I didn’t want to leave.

The kitchen, what can I say about a kitchen that has everything. Stainless refrigerator with filtered water and ice, Kitchen Aid cookware and utensils, coffee maker, espresso and press, countertop grill, micro, fine china, and everything else a cook would need. The place is a jewel in San Juan. It is walking distance to Ashford Ave, Ocean Park beach, Super Max grocery and just a block off the expressway. Very conveniently located to everything you want to do in San Juan.

I will be back.

Affordable Luxury in Condado

Review Submitted: December 9, 2008 Date of Stay: November 2008
I was the last to arrive at the condo and had heard great comments, but they did not justify the place when I first entered it. The building is sleek, modern and new in appearance with secure, gated covered parking, a must if you have never been to San Juan where parking is always at a premium. Inside there is cool white tile flooring throughout and every room is very clean and tastefully (if eclectically) decorated. The beds are comfortable, there are many extra towels and linens and supplies. I was quite impressed with all of the art work for a rental unit, and equally impressed with the fabulous stainless steel kitchen including a full size refrigerator with ice maker.
It was great to have fresh coffee every morning on the covered patio where we enjoyed the many potted plants and orchids that are so generously placed on the balconies (yes, there are two balconies!), and also discovered the fish out there. There is air conditioning in every room, including a large central unit in the living/dining area; although the weather was so pleasant during our stay we rarely used it. One minor item I would change is to either add an additional flat panel display in the living / dining area or move the monitor in the guest bedroom out there (we like to watch the news and keep up with world events).
For those of you who like to cook once in a while (as we do) there is every imaginable cooking convenience available – several nights we elected to just stay in, cook up a great meal, eat in and relax. There is a large grocery store within walking distance that supplies everything you will need including food, liquor, prepared foods, bakery and even a sushi counter!
Although you can walk to the beach, we elected to drive being long time visitors to Condado and Ocean Park where we know the location of many hidden beaches with available parking. Ditto for seeing the sights and exploring Ashford Ave. I highly recommend this rental property for its comfort, ambience, location, security, high quality of furnishings and accessories and visual appeal.

Awesome time in P.R.!

Puerto Rican Long Islander Freeport, New York
Review Submitted: October 30, 2008 Date of Stay: September 2008
From the first meeting, which happened at the car rental place mind you, I was so impressed at how personable Paul was and how warmly he greeted my family and I. He took us from the car rental place to the condo, which was mere minutes away and helped us also get are bags out of the car and carry them to the condo. As soon as we walked in, we noticed the huge windows looking out onto the terraces on either side. The inherent beauty of the space was only enhanced by the flood of natural light pouring in. It was such a comfortable place. You walk into a foyer where off to the left is the master bedroom with master bathroom, and two other bedrooms and a large second bathroom. All of the rooms were spacious and incredibly comfortable (thanks also to the air conditioners in each room) and the bathroom had plenty of room for my two sons and my nephew to spread out all of their toiletries. Passed that area was a beautiful living room and dining room, decorated in modern furniture and art (which my son loved to look at during the week we were there.) Open and inviting, we spent most of our time in the apartment here. Most of the walls are actually floor to ceiling windows or sliding doors of frosted glass that allow for privacy but also let in tons of light. And behind the living room was a gorgeous galley kitchen with new appliances and cabinets. This kitchen had everything you needed. The only thing that would've made it better would've been a coffee machine. There was even a washer and dryer off the kitchen, which was great to have in addition to everything else. I think we were very luckly to stumble upon this gem, in no small part to how accomodating and accessible Paul was throughout the week. All in all, the condo was a great space to come back to after sightseeing in San Juan, Old San Juan, and Candado, which were all just minutes away. Anyone who plans on staying in Puerto Rico and wants to be right where everything is should check this place out.
