Isle La Motte Vacation Rental farmhouse

There are no words to describe this lovely house and all of it's amenities. Our first reaction as we pulled up was of awe and "WOW!!" There was only the two of us, but we were so excited!! The listing and the description of the house were understated!! The house is gorgeous with so many antiques and toys to keep you busy for a lifetime. We did not want to leave and were fortunate enough to be able to extend our vacation by a few days. The house was immaculate!! I would recommend it and have to anyone and everyone!! We had total R&R!! We could not wait to get up every morning and think of what the venture for the day would be. No planning, just taking it a day at a time. The views, sunsets, island and people were just incredible. Not to mention the hospitality of Mike and Debbie was exceptional!! They are a delightful family and made sure that our every need was met or exceeded. They are not intrusive, but were there if you needed them or just to chat, which we enjoyed very much!! The house can accomodate quite large parties and had many family reunions. The toys on the beach are a lot of fun and the water is crystal clear, even at 20 or more feet. The temperature of the water the first week of September was in the 72 to 75 degree range. Beautiful!! We enjoyed daytime, as well as sunset swims!! The views of the Adirondack mountains were also breathtaking! We took over 300 pictures with our DSLR. We are definitely planning to go back!! The past few years we have been to Portsmouth NH, Ogunquit MA and last year Bar Harbor MA on Mount Desert Island. Our vacation on Isle La Motte was by far the best!! We have also been all over the Carribean, etc. However again, nothing compared to the luxury of this vacation. The home is lovely and if you are reading this, it is well worth the price. It exceeds the value of the price!! If it were our home we could not rent it as Mike and Debbie have. We thank them for opening their timeless gorgeous home to us and for just an incredible adventurous time. There is just so much to see and do!! Lake Champlain is so clean and just pure fun, as well a the oldest reefs in the world to visit. We highly recommend this home, location and owners hospitality to all!! We wish you a delightful time, as we know you will definitely have one!!
