Great Getaway in the NC Mountains

Me, my husband and 6 month old daughter just spent the weekend at the Brown Recluse. It was the perfect place for the three of us. We made ourselves right at home, which was easy to do with all the amenities provided. It is beautifully designed and decorated, yet it's quite comfortable. It snowed the second night we were there and we sat by the fireplace and enjoyed ourselves. Every detail has been thought about, down to the aspirin in the medicine cabinet. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a private place to stay, but yet wants to be close to Blowing Rock and Boone.

Owner's Response: It's so gratifying to have so many people love my place! When I bought the house it was really sort of a dump; no fire place, no porch, tiny windows, etc. I'm a designer so I ripped it apart and moved things around, opened up the space and put in the 2 things every Mt. house MUST have, a big porch and a fire place! The place is tiny but it's precious and I keep hearing that over and over again. It is definately not a Moose, Bear, Trout decor! LOL! I hope you will enjoy it too one day. Cheers! Gene
