This is a beautiful, very spacious home with over 4000 sq. ft. Beautifully furnished and located in a quiet family friendly neighborhood. Just minutes from the New York border. The bedrooms are very large and nicely decorated. There are 2 kitchens with updated appliances,1 in the attached guest suite, which also has a separate entrance, 2 bedrooms, bath, laundryroom, and great room with a 65' big screen TV and pool table. Big backyard with child's play-yard and 2-tiered deck for adult relaxing. We are set between 2 lakes, 1 walking distance, great for winter or summer fun. We are 5 minutes from golf, boating, state forest, shopping, fine dining, Hancock Shaker Village, and our own baseball park and team (The American Defenders). We are 10 minutes from Theater, Arts and Museums, 15 minutes from ski resorts. Jiminy Peak Ski Resort also has summer fun with alpine slides, rock climbing, swing shot and more and we are only 20 minutes from Tanglewood. Approx. 2.5 hrs from NYC or Boston

Four seasons of fun: The season changes are amazing in the Berkshire Mountains. The fall shows off our beautiful mountains in spectacular colors and all the charming country farms are bustling with hay rides, apple picking and pumpkin fests. Winter provides an abundance of snow and we are minutes from some of the best ski resorts and a walk away from ice fishing on the lake. Spring jumps alive with the new and upcoming season of the summer events and the summer provides so many different things to do you won't know where to begin.

Great location: Our location is unique in that we are very close to all different types of activities that fit anyone's interest in any season of the year. With the breathtaking mountains and beautiful foliage you will have a great time just relaxing and enjoying the views of the area. We live in an environment rich in the arts and outdoor activities year round. We are surrounded by numerous children's parks, lakes and biking and hiking trails. We are only 2 minutes from RT 7, which is the main road to get to most destinations in the area. We are close to shopping, restaurants, and many of the attractions in the area. We are also less than 5 minutes from the hospital.

Space enough for everyone: Bring your family and friends, share the expense and enjoy the enormous space of the house in a setting that allows everyone to be together yet still have their own space. Our large beautifully decorated bedrooms provide large beds with all the linens and enough room to put down a blowup mattress for some extra kids. The attached guest suite closes off for separation or opens up to share. It has it's own kitchen bath and entrance but provides the space for everyone to gather and be together. The back yard is big enough , with comfortable dining and lounging furniture, for all to gather, kids and adults, and relax in the mountain fresh air.

Great home for family get togethers

This was a perfect home for me and my family to have a family reunion. The second kitchen really helped in preparing the large meals we had each night. The amenities of the home added to the relaxing time we enjoyed; especially the hot tub, children's play area and large outdoor decks. I would recommend this home for any family and will consider renting it again.

The Big House

The "Grady House," located on a quiet side residential street with small but generally cared for homes, provided massive amount of space, enough for an old-fashioned farm family. It was clean, well-maintained, and fully stocked with appliances and amenities. The backyard was spacious.Two back decks also provided space for repose. The lower back deck had a hot tub but we didn't use it. Air conditioning was provided by the cool mountain air (and the unseasonably cool and rainy summer).

The house provided us with quick access to Route 7 and was not far from supermarkets, restaurants, and entertainments in Pittsfield and nearby environs. It is close to two lakes, but the swimming is limited but available.

The owner was most helpful before and after our stay; we received the deposit a few days after returning home.

If there are any downsides to the house, it would be the large size and the lack of a motion detector for outside lighting. These are minor issues.

Overall, we were pleased with our stay at The Grady House and would consider staying there again.

This was a great vacation rental. Very kid friendly with a large backyard and great swingset. The house is a great size and in a lovely neighborhood. We hope to return next year!
