His famous Flamingo Hotel opened in 1946, and 61 yrs later, Las Vegas is now considered the 'Entertainment Capital of the World' The city is known for its giant hotel/casino complexes, great golfing, cheap buffets fantastic nightlife and intense summer heat. The summertime can see temperatures regularly exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Las Vegas is known to be getaways for bachelor/bachelorette parties and also weddings/ceremonies in casino chapels.

Darel's home is perfect for folks w/kids and grandkids who like the sun and pool. The house is spacious enough where no one gets in anyone's way. The patio is fabulous and particularly great for an evening alone when everyone is asleep.

You definitely need a car but everything is well within driving distance.

Darel is extremely accommodating. That is very important in case of issues.

We will definitely be back!!!!!

Lots of space for large groups

Although there are many villas to rent in Las Vegas, few do things as well as Darel's place. It's large, with queen or larger size beds. It has a pool and hot tub, a large open kitchen with lots of comfortable seating (and pull out couches I enjoyed!) and a huge TV. Free WiFi and satellite tv made my technology hungry friends happy. Perfect for our group of 9 people over 6 nights.

The location is not as close to the Strip as some other properties, but you can't beat it for the price. It's near Blue Diamond Road in a new community, which means there is quick access to the airport, highways, the Strip (use Rainbow Blvd and surface streets to get there! Super fast, about 10-15 minutes depending on rush hour and where you are headed on the Strip), as well as good shopping nearby in the form of an (almost) 24-hour Albertsons, a Target, other stores plus numerous chain restaurants and the like. Nearest casinos are Silverton (5 mins) and SouthPoint (7 mins), I think. You do need a car, but rentals are incredibly cheap in Vegas and self parking is free at all casinos. Valet for a nominal tip is also incredibly easy.

The house was clean and in order when we arrived. A bit of a learning curve with the pool heating system, but we eventually figured it out. We stayed there the weekend it snowed, and could only seem to get the heat going for either the pool or the hot tub at the same time, but the hot tub was indeed hot. Quiet neighbourhood at a great price. Would recommend and stay again. Darel was helpful and eager to please.
