A Byrd's View is located in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, in western North Carolina. It is 20 minutes away from Boone, and is surrounded by the towns of Sugar Mountain, Beech Mountain, Seven Devils and Hawk's Nest. There is a wide range of restaurants and bars in town. And just a few minutes away there are ski resorts, golf clubs, hiking trails, campgrounds and other possibilities for outdoor fun.
A Byrd’s View has been recently renovated and updated with granite counter tops, hardwood floors, new bedding, and so much more. This 4 bedroom 3 ½ bathroom chalet is the perfect vacation spot for your entire family. Banner Elk, in Avery County, North Carolina is located in the mountains of western North Carolina and is home to a bustling community filled with High Country activities such as skiing, golfing, hiking, horseback riding, rafting, and fishing.
On the main level, you will find the beautifully decorated living room with a large 40” flat screen with cable TV, gas fireplace, and comfortable leather furniture. Enjoy dining for 6 as you gaze out the large sliding glass windows and absorb the magnificent views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The fully stocked kitchen has granite counter tops, gas stove, and all of the conveniences of home. You will also find on the main level the king size large master suite with your own private entrance to the deck. The beautiful master bathroom has also been renovated and updated with his/her vanities and a very spacious walk in closet. In addition to the master bathroom, there is a half bath for the convenience for you and your guests on the main level.
There are 2 bedrooms on the upper level. One bedroom has a king size bed which has a private deck to enjoy the views and the other bedroom has a bunk bed with twin on top and full size on the bottom. There is also a full bathroom on the upper level as well.
The basement area also boasts another living/family room with a leather sectional sofa, cable TV, and a table with chairs to play your favorite board game. There is a full bathroom and the fourth bedroom with king size bed which also has it’s own private entrance to the lower deck.
In the winter Banner Elk is where people come to choose and cut their own Christmas tree and ski, and in the summer it is a perfect place for a family getaway which can be quiet, peaceful, and relaxing or full of activity, fun, and adventure. Blue Ridge Parkway, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls and Linville Gorge are just a few of the scenic landmarks in the area. The attractions are worth visiting such as the Woolly Worm Festival that takes place in Banner Elk in October, and the summer theater, by the Lees-McRae College Performing Arts department.

As you plan your trip to the mountains, please remember we do get rain, snow and some foggy days and occasional inconveniences which are out of our control. Winter weather in the Blue Ridge Mountains can occur from November through April. The majority of our homes are accessed by mountain roads, which will be icy in winter weather. For the safety of you and your party, please be prepared to drive in snow and ice. This means 4-wheel drive, good tires, and chains. It is your responsibility to be prepared for hazardous road conditions. There will be NO refunds, allowances, or date changes resulting from your negligence in this matter.
