This newly constructed Branch Lake cottage is nestled on a quiet cove and sleeps 6 (one bunk bed) with one full bath with carpeting throughout. The dining and living room enjoy views of the lake. A large screened in porch has a table for dining. The property offers a dock, gas grill, paddle boat and canoe. There is a area to launch a small boat on site and swing set for the kids to enjoy. All 30 minutes from Acadia National Park or Bangor and 15 minutes from the city of Ellsworth. TV\ DVD in all rooms with satellite in the living room and master bed room with basic channels only. This large lake is quiet, enjoy a canoe ride with the loons and ducks. SORRY NO PETS. If you are launching you own boat it must be inspected for invasive plants before you do so. This can be done by the neighbor to the north of the cottage.

My family spent last week at this cabin on Branch Lake, Maine. We chose it for it's close proximity to family, and it was a great location for visits from our extended family. It was, however, the hottest week of the summer and without AC, it was pretty darned hot! We were able to dock my dad's fishing boat right there at the cabin, which was GREAT. Property was as advertised, however the basement was very damp and musty smelling, but that did not preclude my son and his friend from sleeping down there -- and the fact that was easily 15 degrees cooler was a plus for them. The lake was the big draw for our family and my husband and son fished every day. Swimming was good out in the lake -- we'd take the boat out into the lake and jump from rocks ('beach' area at the cabin was very weed-y and mucky).
Owner was helpful and accomodating.
