Playa Samara in the Guanacaste region located on the west coast of the Nicoya Peninsula, and is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica. The bay is protected by an offshore coral reef and the warm waters of the Pacific invites all year round for swimming, snorkeling and surfing. The necessary equipment for surfing, but also kayaks and Schnellbote (jet skis) can be hired locally, surf schools offer courses for beginners and advanced, both in groups and in individual lessons. The fine, white sand beach is ideal not only for sunbathing and relaxing, but also for long walks on the beach or even a ride on a horse. Also nearby beaches like Carrillo or the Buena Vista, which is famous for its turtles station are quickly and easily accessible. River walks, boat trips or canopy tours leave from here, from planning and organizing as well as larger and trips to national parks, for example, or known volcanoes like Arenal. The local language school offers Spanish courses for all levels from beginner to advanced as well as special courses in the country's culture, history and politics. In addition to several supermarkets Samara has a variety of excellent restaurants and bars, some with beautiful sea views, internet cafes and discos which are great in the evening and at night to relax.
