An excellent getaway!

My family and another family rented this cabin/home for the Memorial Day weekend. What an excellent experience! It was clean. comfortable, spacious enough for 4 adults and 4 kids, and in great shape! Everything on the website was accurrate and then some...we've had bad experiences before and were a bit leary about trying this again. We were NOT disappointed! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything from cookware to corkscrews. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable with plenty of sleeping space (everyone had an off the floor place to sleep as there was a futon in the lower level that was perfect for the kids). We enjoyed the campfire each night with PLENTY of wood available and when it rained, the back covered porch was a great place to still enjoy the gentle rain and the outdoors. A nearby BP gas station/grocery allowed us to grab a few things we ran out of or forgot and reasonable prices (yes, you read that right). We also loved the nearby beach which was just down the road...I would recommend driving though as the cars rush through pretty fast and aren't looking for walkers: esp. with kids and a load to take to the beach. It is easily walkable though, as we did that as well. The beach was great with lots of sand to play in and a huge swimming area. No lifeguards while we were there though- so take note. Bathrooms were in the bar/restuarant right at the beach/marina. That was also a nice feature. picinic tables and covered areas were available too. Overall, a great place to vacation rain or shine!!! I would recommend to anyone!!
