We rented this house in the summer of '08 and it was truly beautiful. It was perfect for us and our 3 young children, less than 5 in walk to private, beautiful beach. The house had everything you would need for the beach; chairs, wagon, buckets etc, And all you could wish for in a home. The house was spotlessly clean and well maintained. The owner provided excellent customer service and plenty of local info as it was our first trip to Montauk, the kids still talk about their trip there! I would recommend this property to those with families or adults only. You would need a car to get there and for easy access to town.
Very happy memories of our stay there!!

Perfect beach vacation

Our family of four spent a week staying here and had a fabulous time. The house was clean and well stocked with everything that we needed for the beach, cooking and relaxing. The beach which truly is a just a quick walk even with kids, is gorgeous, rarely crowded and completely relaxing. You are close enough to the beach that at night you can listen to the sound of the surf as you fall asleep. Montauk is a cute town with lots to do beyond the beach as well. John was incredibly receptive to questions and comments as was the caretaker on site.
I would highly recommend this house and we hope to return someday soon.

The house and setting was just as advertised. Very clean, organized, and comforatable. It had everything you need including beach and kitchen equipment. You can hear the ocean 24/7. The private beach is within easy walking distance. We have been on Dictch Plains beach many times, and after the first day on the Hither Hills beach, my wife wanted to check out Ditch Plains. After 10 minutes on Ditch Plains, she said "lets go back to Hither Hills!". This is a house you want to hang out in and respect as the owners have taken great pride in its presentation.

We have enjoyed our stay at your house so much. There is little that you can improve upon. The house is so well equipped, clean, and comfortable. Your suggestions are great- we ate at Harvest and Vicky's vegetable stand is truly one of the best. Aagghh-the beach is perfect!
We are so glad we choose your house and look forward to hopefully staying again next year.

Wonderful vacation retreat

This home is a wonderful vacation retreat. It is well maintained, well stocked and very comfortable. With its granite countertops, jacuzzi tub and lovely furnishings, this house feels more like an upscale home than a beach rental. Its location, a block from the beach, is ideal and its siting on a hill avails itself of the ocean breezes. The lot is private and quiet and the neighborhood is charming. It is also convenient to town-- a 20 minute walk. The owners are very helpful and easy to deal with. I would highly recommend this rental.
