I have been twice to the Aromatherapy Foundation's accommodations on Maui, once to the romantic cottage (as a couple) and once to the Grand Villa (hosting a group of 8 midlife women for a Recalibrate Camp). If you are looking for a place to stay in Maui that is stunningly beautiful, well managed, and away from the ant swarm of tourists, but close enough to anything and everything in Maui, then this is your place. The Romantic cottage has everything that a couple would want: fully equipped kitchen, fabulous eating patio, laundry, gorgeous views from everywhere, and a superior spa on site that offers a multitude of spa services. The Grand Villa is perfect for a group or a family. Every bedroom is special and has a wonderful view, and the living area accommodates an easy flow of people eating, relaxing, chatting, and enjoying the lovely scents coming from the gardens. My group loved the layout of the villa because they could easily be social in the living areas or the hot tub or enjoy personal time in their beautiful rooms or one of the little nooks in the house or the gardens. Everyone loved being able to take advantage of the on-site Aromatherapy Spa. Many in my group were swimmers, so we took advantage of the Upcountry Aquatics Center that has two 25 meter pools and is only 10 minutes away in Pukalani. For those who like to run, walk, and bike, the property is situated on a wonderful upcountry loop road and is only a few miles from fabulous hiking. Doreena and Tom, the managers, are always available if anything is needed, but most everything one could need has already been thought of and is available. The entire property has a lovely feel to it. This is a special place full of the spirit of Aloha. If you want to be touched by Maui, this is the place to stay. You will be pleased you chose to stay here.
