Berchtesgaden, with its alpine national park around Watzmann and Königssee, belongs to one of the leading vacation areasin the world. Golf: On Obersalzberg, 5 km from our house, there is a golf facility with an incomparable panoramic view of the Berchtesgaden mountain world. Golf enthusiasts can play on the 9 hole course on the Berchtesgaden golf club at an elevation of 1000 meters. The golf course in Berchtesgaden combines stunning landscape with a unique panorama. Americans named the area “Sky Top” – today, it is the highest elevated golf course in Germany. The 9 courses and recreation program are just as exciting as the environment.

Ski: That is last week’s news: five ski areas with individual layouts, slopes guaranteed with snow, fast descents and safe practice slopes, a new snowboarding paradise in Götschen with a flood-lit area and half pipe, and cozy lodges, ski and snow board schools. Berchtesgaden is also perfect for those who want to spend time away from the slopes. There are more than 60 kilometers of trails, ice rinks and numerous luge runs. Berghof Punzenlehen is located in the center of all activities at an elevation of 720m. You can get to all of the skiing areas within a few minutes drive. For hikers that “only” want to breathe in the good air, there are 120 km of plowed hiking paths.
