We found these holiday appartments purely by looking on the internet and choosing one that we felt would suit our needs. Located in a peaceful setting with stunning views of the Watzmann, our appartment became our home-from-home. Clean and well presented with special little touches, such as bathrobes and a decent hairdryer, we felt as if we had found a piece of heaven. The owners, Fiona and Christoph Lochner, have really surpassed themselves here. We were able to view all the appartments whilst we were there and found them all to have an individual style of their own, some more suitable for families - The Untersburg has a wonderful upper gallery where children can sleep, providing them with their own den. Hoher Goll has two lovely bedrooms, a good sized kitchen and a large wrap round balcony. We found it great because we like to cook for ourselves and all the kitchens have dishwashers. The surrounding area is full of birds and wildlife, just sitting on the balcony we saw a deer grazing down on the Wisen below us one evening at dusk. The mountain view is captivating, an ever-changing scene that you can sit and look at without ever tiring of it. This has to be one of the most relaxing holidays we have ever had and we are already planning our return later this year and most definitely next year a couple of times. We can thoroughly recommend these appartments. The approach is up a track, is steep and winding at times, but we were assured that this is kept clear during Winter months and poses no problems even during the heaviest snowfall. However, I would recommend that you ensure your car is up to the conditions during snow and ice, bearing in mind that winter tyres are supposed to be a legal requirement from November onwards. You do need a car to visit here. The surrounding area is full of great things to do, Berchtesgaden, The Eagles Nest, Jenner, Konigsee. salt mines and nearby Salzberg are all great tourist attractions. Also a visit to Bad Reichenhall's Kurpark is a must, just to see the Inhalatorium. But if you have health problems, such as asthma, this place is worth a visit.

This place should be kept a secret, but I would be doing the owners an injustice if I didnt give them a top rate review. They have obviously worked extremely hard to make this heaven on Earth. We are told that pets are welcome, but you must be prepared to accept a limited choice as the owners like to ensure that some of the appartments are kept allergen free.
