This like new Lake Lure home is ready for some family fun. Located lakefront, this home is perfectly situated on a quiet cove just 1 1/2 mi. from the beach/marina area. Two large open entertainment areas complete with lcd tv's, comfy couches and fireplaces await your relaxation. Lake views from two of the three bedrooms. This home has a big kitchen so you can feed the crowd easily. The home is fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Outside you have a large screen porch complete with rocking chairs ready for you to sit and enjoy this quiet cove. At the waterfront, you have a huge deck with two sets of tables and chairs, and just below, there is a great swimming or fishing dock, complete with ladder. We have a canoe and life vests for your enjoyment, but feel free to bring your kayak or boat. We have information about boating and fishing licenses. This home is just a short distance from Chimney Rock State Park as well as the Beach/Marina area.

WONDERFUL FUN FOR THE WEEKEND!!!

My boyfriend & I along w/2 other couples rented this house for the weekend & we had a blast! We enjoyed the view & the area tremendously. Chimney Rock State Park was minutes down the road & Larkins on the Lake restaurant was close as well which is absolutely delicious. The house was very clean & inviting. It was like staying at a family member's home for the weekend. We loved the spacious living rooms up & downstairs along with the pool table. The bedrooms were homey & the bathrooms were clean & fresh. I would recommend this house to everyone who would like to enjoy the fresh air & take a dip in the summer or spring. The real estate company we dealt with was wonderful, courteous, & very easy going. We had no problems @ the house & enjoyed a wonderful couples weekend. A+++++++++++ for Snug Harbor!

Amazing!

Some firends and I rented this home for a weekend getaway and to celebrate a birthday. This place was perfect in every way. The views are amazing and the home was very comfortable and inviting. We will definitely be coming back when the weather is warmer so that we can enjoy the lake more! Thanks for a wonderful weekend!

Relaxing Retreat

I rented this lovely lake house for a retreat/workshop space. It was very convenient and comfortable to be able to have one accommodation that was large enough for gathering in conference mode, yet warm and relaxing for participants to stay, sleep and dine together. The location is great for vacation activities such as boating, swimming, hiking - with easy access to restaurants, shopping and local attractions. People came from across the States and found the accommodations convenient, awe-inspiring and with many memories to share.

Best cove on the lake!

Living locally, I was able to personally check out many homes on Lake Lure, and when I saw the Snug Harbor Retreat I said "Look no further, This Is It!!" I was looking for a rental home for my family of 10 coming in from out of town for our summer vacation together, and this turned out to be the perfect place for us! The home is so new, everything is immaculate, and every amenity provided. The younger generations (including a 1 year old) spent so much time in the water, playing, swimming, canoeing, and jumping off the boathouse. The location on a small cove could not have been better... perfect distance for swimming across to the other side, quiet waters, minimal boat traffic. The older generation (my parents, 82 and 83 years old) even made it down the steps to the deck of the boat house a couple times a day, thanks to sturdy stairs and places to stop and rest. And those rocking chairs...ohhh... how wonderful for ALL of us, from ages 1 to 83!
All in all, it was one of the best vacations we have ever had and we are grateful to the owners of Snug Harbor for sharing their wonderful home with us.

What a Time!

We had the best time ever at this lake house retreat! This is a spacious home in great condition with all up to date decor, kitchen and amenities. If you are ready to relax and have some fun with the whole family, this is the place for you. There is room for the whole family. We had a great time sitting the multiple decks, one screened. The family’s favorite spot was the large deck over the lake. We were able to fish, jump in the water and just relax. The children stayed in the water or canoed to an undiscovered land. It was a great time by all. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your place!
