Snug Harbor Retreat, LAKEFRONT, pool table, 2 Decks, Fall Special!

Some firends and I rented this home for a weekend getaway and to celebrate a birthday. This place was perfect in every way. The views are amazing and the home was very comfortable and inviting. We will definitely be coming back when the weather is warmer so that we can enjoy the lake more! Thanks for a wonderful weekend!

I rented this lovely lake house for a retreat/workshop space. It was very convenient and comfortable to be able to have one accommodation that was large enough for gathering in conference mode, yet warm and relaxing for participants to stay, sleep and dine together. The location is great for vacation activities such as boating, swimming, hiking - with easy access to restaurants, shopping and local attractions. People came from across the States and found the accommodations convenient, awe-inspiring and with many memories to share.

Living locally, I was able to personally check out many homes on Lake Lure, and when I saw the Snug Harbor Retreat I said "Look no further, This Is It!!" I was looking for a rental home for my family of 10 coming in from out of town for our summer vacation together, and this turned out to be the perfect place for us! The home is so new, everything is immaculate, and every amenity provided. The younger generations (including a 1 year old) spent so much time in the water, playing, swimming, canoeing, and jumping off the boathouse. The location on a small cove could not have been better... perfect distance for swimming across to the other side, quiet waters, minimal boat traffic. The older generation (my parents, 82 and 83 years old) even made it down the steps to the deck of the boat house a couple times a day, thanks to sturdy stairs and places to stop and rest. And those rocking chairs...ohhh... how wonderful for ALL of us, from ages 1 to 83!
All in all, it was one of the best vacations we have ever had and we are grateful to the owners of Snug Harbor for sharing their wonderful home with us.
