House, 4 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 5.5 Baths, (Sleeps 8)

This is a unique property. It is furnished in wonderful antiques from Paris and New Orleans as well as the Pacific rim. The house was built in 1939 and renovated in 1999 and then again in 2007 by owner who is an artist. You can wake up and take a swim in your private salt water pool or take 1 minute walk to beach with a long expansive beach and walk to Kahala Hotel for breakfast or cocktails.

Only 2 houses from beach, literally a 1 minute walk. About 3-4 minutes to Kahala Mall(and the new Whole Foods organic grocery!!!) and Waikiki, great golf,the best exercise walk along ocean to surf look outs and Diamond Head hiking trails, surfing, tennis and restaurants.

Board games, library of interesting books, children's books,, dvd movies, Apple TV..surround sound, entertainment center..

Why Ann or John chose Kahala

This property was built in the late 30s and has been restored to old Hawaiian elegance. Many homes in this area have been torn down and replaced by new houses covering the entire lot. Our house is meant to be enjoyed like the original owners meant...open the windows and enjoy the wonderful trade winds..but we also have all the conveniences of the 21st century with central AC, kitchen, modern bathrooms, salt water pool and entertainment center.

Nearest Beach : Hunakai Beach at 300 Metres

Great surfs spots within blocks, outrigger canoes within walking distance inside the reef, walking exercise trail to Diamond Head, where you can hike Diamond Head as well! Walk to the surf lookout and check out the surf spots off Diamond Head. Also, the first Whole Foods Grocery just opened around 6 blocks away! Yea!

Great Home to Rent on Oahu! Beautiful, spacious home, pool, patio and a short walk to the beach !

We had a great time staying at this home over Christmas holidays and into January. We dealt directly with the owners. Great people. The home is better than the pictures show. 4 bedrooms. Great gourmet kitchen. Very well maintained property. Location is great. Very quiet and safe area. Close distance to shopping, Whole Foods, Waikiki, Diamond Head etc. We enjoyed every minute at the home - the short walk to the ocean daily (2 minutes away). The pool and patio area is great for entertaining along with a wonderful BBQ. Each bedroom was wonderfully furnished - flat screen TVs, upscale full baths - a nice extra to have and hard to find in a rental property. We will rent this home again ! You won't be disappointed!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Romantic Getaway

We just returned from a 10 day stay at this fabulous
house. It is in such a great location, it really is just
a block from the beach and right down the street
from Diamond Head beach, which was great for
surfing. Also we went running every morning which
was easy because of the path a block away.
Everything you need is at the house, we grilled
dinner and watched football games. Whole Foods is
very convenient to the house. Great place to stay,
impeccably decorated with comfort in mind.

WOW..what a great home. We had a splendid stay at this vintage Hawaii home and enjoyed the privacy and relaxing areas around the property. Owners thought of all details, Great entertainment center with Apple TV. Very sexy place!
