The perfect island getaway!

We returned to Chrissydale in 2011 following a beautiful vacation spent in the summer of 2010 there and were not disappointed. The bathroom has been freshly renovated and the kitchen freshly painted adding to the beauty of this cottage. The cottage is exactly as described on the site. It is close to a public beach (Cousin's) and a short drive to Cavendish, Brackley and all the other lovely attractions that make PEI so special. Being so far back from the road adds to the special feeling of this location, especially for people like us who are not too sociable on vacation. The Annandale Farmhouse is close to the cottage but having experienced 4 different sets of renters in Annandale we can honestly say that this has never caused a problem noise wise, and people going there seem to be seeking, like us, tranquility. The cottage is very clean, plenty of linens, quilts, towels (nice quality towels) and everything needed for hassle free packing (my husband hates packing the car for vacation!) The washer and dryer are fantastic for those with children and I was so surprised when the cleaning lady came and brought us clothing detergent, another extra!! The view off of the back porch is so relaxing, looking out over rolling potatoe fields and red roads. Within a stones throw of the cottage is a 9 hole free golf course which my husband and son enjoyed immensly going nearly every day. Within 5 minutes is a fantastic seafood outlet where we bought oysters and quahogs to eat after a nice day at the beach. I think I have nothing negative to say about this cottage. It is not luxurious but feels very homey, the furniture is very nice, the couches extremely comfortable, I would take it as my own cottage just as is. A must visit approximately 20 minutes away is the "The Great Canadian Soap Factory" the experience with the children was incredible! They were able to bottle feed baby goats and have a tour of the little farm where the goats provide milk for the soap making. Also "The Dunes" art shops and restaurants is another must see, 5 minutes from the Soap Factory.
