Secluded Gore Mountain Pine-Panelled Getaway

I stayed here with my family this past Christmas and we had a really great time. The house is awesome, clean, and very homey. Walking through the door it is inviting and almost instantly comfortable to be in. This house will forever be etched in my first granddaughters mind as the "Christmas House" and her first trip to the North Pole only a short day trip away. Located convienently to Gore Mountain and well secluded for those who just want to lay back and relax. I brought my two labs who enjoyed the walks through the open wooded area on the property. The owner was very easy to deal with and made the experience very easy to manage. I suggest this rental to all.

Found this wonderful rental several years ago and we've been back every season (but one) since. Awesome location, great place, always clean and comfortable. Will always rent this place for my February birthday-and-skiing weekend. Thanks Claudette, for being such a wonderful hostess year after year!

What a great place & time. Third time here & never disappointed.Went to Lake Placid,an Hour ride. Went trail riding on Quads at Loon Lake. Been to Lake George several times. Saw the fireworks on Thursday. Ate at fine resturants. Saw the Talent show on Friday. Spent two days on the trail to Stoney Pond. Fished Stoney Pond,caught 20 or more Bullhead Catfish. There is so much to do that you can not do everything. It does feel great to come off a trail to a nice hot shower. The Chalet is more than roomy enough for any large family, even large group of friends. It's great to come to a place that makes you feel at home. The caretakers are the nicest people we met.(went to church with them two years ago). The rental rate is so reasonable that I feel obligated to help the owners as much as possible.(I've checked the local area,you will not find a better deal for the money) The house is furnished & has more than enough linens & towels. The acreage makes for great privacy. Do not know what more anyone could want from a rental.
