Aloha! Welcome to the Mokuleia Beach House on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii. The Mokuleia Beach House is a family owned beach house situated in a private section of Mokuleia. Approximately 30 minutes from Honolulu and Honolulu International Airport, and only ten minutes from the great restaurants and shops of nostalgic Haleiwa Town. Nearby along the coastal highway you will find the world famous surfing communities and beaches of Waimea Bay, Bonzai Pipeline and Sunset Beach.
This beautiful country home sits right on the beach, on over an acre of land, surrounded by tropical landscaping, ocean views and our lovely island sky. White sands and blue-green ocean stretch for miles in each direction. The beach house is secluded, with very few neighbors and rarely a soul on the beach. It's your world - your escape - from sunrise to sunset! Truly a one of a kind island experience!
The Mokuleia Beach House sleeps up to 14 guests. Each of its five bedrooms are furnished with King size beds along with an upstairs loft which has two king size beds. The three master bedrooms have their own bathroom & balcony or lanai overlooking our slice of the Pacific. There are lovely ocean views as well as mountain and forest views from the house and living room. The kitchen is large and fully equipped to take care of all your cooking needs. Done in an Hawaiian theme, our beach house is fully functional and comfortable.
You can view many of Hawaii's endangered and protected wildlife right from the property; whales (Dec - May), dolphins, the Hawaiian Monk seal, and the Hawaiian owl can be seen from the property. Beach combing is a must!
This property has been our escape 'to the country' for generations. We believe the Mokuleia Beach House will be a welcome escape for you and yours as well!

The Mokuleia Beach house was a great place for my family (including seniors and children) to enjoy. The house was extremely clean, well kept, and well stocked with kitchen supplies, movies, linens, towels, snorkel masks, boogie boards, etc. The layout of the house was well planned and arranged to accompany large parties, and the decor created a relaxed, yet deluxe atmosphere. My children enjoyed the freedom of having such a large lawn to run around on, and the beach right there to explore. The pictures don't do it justice! What a beautiful spot away from the crowds!
Mahalo to Bobby for sharing this beautiful place with our family of 13. The pictures, which are lovely, do not nearly show the beauty and serenity of this perfect place. iIt met all our needs and more! If you read the other reviews, it says it all....beautiful lawn for young grandkids to romp and play, private beach for miles. It felt like there was no one else on the world but us. We sat every morning, everyday on the lanai watching surfers and whales playing just behind them. We were in constant awe of the beauty and privacy afforded us. We ventured out a bit to Haleiwa town, but we're always quick to return to "our" slice of heaven. mahalo nui loa to our wonderful host, Bobby, and for this experience of beautiful Hawaii. We will definitely return.
This was our second visit to Mokuleia Beach House, and we were even more delighted than the first time! We came back for the gorgeous views and the trade winds, the available sea turtles and snorkeling, the privacy and the warm hospitality. As an unexpected bonus, the owners had done some remodeling to expand the kitchen and include another master bedroom and living area. Since our party did not exceed 8, everyone was happy with all kids getting their own bedroom - a first! This property suits all sorts. If you like quiet spaces and a slower pace, you need look no further. If you crave extreme sports, you are well-situated; the waves are world-class for surfing, the parasailing and gliding outfits are literally across the highway at the airfield. Hailewa is a perfectly sized beach-town with good food options, and the Sunset and Pipeline beaches are a quick 20 minute drive away. There is much to explore around here; we enjoyed good hikes and whale-watching tours, although later in January and into February is probably best for spotting whales. Bobby was the owner most available to us during the week, and we were so impressed with his responsiveness to our queries and requests. He was quick to accommodate, friendly and helpful. He never made you feel bad about asking for information or inquiring about equipment. The home is amply outfitted with boogie boards, fins, and snorkels. Our kids remembered there being a croquet set from before. When we inquired after finding none, Bobby had a brand new set at the house by the end of the day. That just made us love him all the more. We are looking for the next opportunity to visit again.
We have been returning to this lovely house for many years (6 stays in about 11 years). Our group consisted of 8 adults and a child on this visit. We still had room for 4-5 more people. Bobby is the best. He has always been available for any questions and ensures that everything is in great condition. I am finicky about the comfort of beds. Through the years, I have slept in 3 of the bedrooms and all of the beds were very comfortable. Since remodeling last year, the kitchen is huge and works great for a large group. He has everything you could possibly need to cook your meals. We are so comfortable we never want to venture out and go exploring around the island, with exception to Haleiwa. Great little town for restaurants and shopping. My husband also treks over to Turtle Bay for golf. They have an open-air restaurant with very good food called Ola. It is a lot of fun to sit out on the lanai and watch surfers and whales. The best part of the location is the beach which isn't tourist-packed. The beach is perfect white sand and extends in both directions for miles. You can walk 3 minutes to a really nice snorkel hole. While snorkeling this year, a seal was in the hole swimming about. There are always sea turtles in the snorkel hole. We had some serious croquet wars/games and sun bathing every day in the yard. I highly recommend this home unless you are the type who needs to be connected to a lot of other tourist.
This house is so beautiful and secluded just like having a paradise in your backyard. The parking lot area and the walkway leading to the house were my favorites.
We (9 people including the groom's family and my family) were here to for my wedding, although Bobby and Jennifer do not generally lease their house for wedding purposes, they agreed to help me out upon learning that it will be a small wedding (and it indeed is a perfect place for a intimate small gathering!) I chose here because the backyard is right next to a white sandy beach, so I can have a garden wedding with the ocean backdrop! The beach is also very secluded that it feels like having a private beach. The property is spacious so that everyone got a room they like (plenty to choose from including two ocean-views).
Bobby and Jennifer are very responsive in the booking process, extremely helpful during our stay and on the wedding day. The refund deposit was also sent back to us in a timely manner. I have nothing but good words to say about this property and the hosts!
Our extended family of 11 (3 grandparents,2 brothers with spouses and 4 grandkids, ages 9-15) spent a week here. We were able to easily get to any of the places we wanted to go, but the best option was getting out of the traffic and crowds in Honolulu area and walking through the back yard to a beach that was essentially private. The landscaping was wonderful and the beach was a hit with everyone. Watching the skydivers from the nearby airfield was fun, but actually seeing a sea turtle and a seal right there on our doorstep were highlights of the trip. Bobby was a wonderful host and very responsive to any questions or needs. We would definitely recommend this beach home for large groups who want easy beach access.
