It's time for your New Zealand holiday.

This modern, well-appointed 3 level home is set high into a hillside with fabulous views, perfect for entertaining and enjoying the natural beauty this region is famous for.

Level One has 2 bedrooms and a bath, with a tub and separate shower.

Bedroom One is a combination office with trundle bed.

Bedroom Two has a Queen bed.

Main level is the living area with open-plan kitchen, generous lounge area and connected balcony above Hataitai Beach.

Lovely sunny views over Evans Bay and the Miramar Peninsula

Top level is the master suite, King bed, huge walk-in closet & private bathroom with heated tile floors.

And, of course, the best view of all from the private balcony. (You'll feel like a 'rock star' overlooking the world from the top level)

This home provides an excellent 'home base' while in New Zealand, with very close proximity to the Wellington Central Business District, Interisland Ferry Terminal and International Airport, without the traffic or city noise.

About The Owner

We are travelers who fell in love with New Zealand. We rent homes for ourselves to stay in all over the world, so we are happy to share our Wellington home with you.

The Owner purchased this house in 2008
Why The Owner chose Wellington CBD

This home is quintessential Wellington, in a stellar location for active travelers who desire a home-away-from-home with all the basics. Our home is built as are many in Wellington, especially the suburb of Hataitai, high on a hill, thus our magnificent views. This really sold us on Kainui Heights.

What makes this house unique

Proximity to the Central Business District, the airport, ferry terminal, and train, makes Kainui Heights the perfect escape for locals looking to get away, as well as visitors from (literally) all over the world. Our home is furnished 'Kiwiana' style, so if you are traveling from somewhere other than New Zealand, you'll get the flavor of how we live - simply, with a reverence for the earth. And, if you are interested in the many films of Peter Jackson, you'll be looking across Evans Bay at his home turf, where all the real movie magic happens, on the Miramar Peninsula.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time spent at Kainui Heights. It gave us a perfect "jumping off site" for our daily adventures and it was relaxing to come home to in the evening. Of course the view from the master bedroom thrilled us. We found it easy to navigate the bus lines and Kainui Heights was an ideal home for our week stay in Wellington.

Thank you for organising our family stay at such short notice.
We all had a wonderful time, the house was wonderful and even
my not so agile 79 year old mother managed the ascent to the
front door. Fabulous decor, spectacular views and I slept like a
log in the king size bed.
