Clean, comfortable and bright apartment right in the middle of the most bustling nightlife scene in Manhattan. It's rare to find a private patio where you can enjoy the balmy NYC weather in peace, so that was a nice bonus. Also, Mandy was a supremely gracious host! We would definitely stay here agai
We had such a lovely time in this apartment. We had everything we need and the location was absolutely brilliant. You could stay in the area for 2 years and not get to eat and every restaurant within a 10 minute walk and everyY meal we had was good to outstanding, which was not the case when we had to eat in other parts of town. The subway was super close and having Whole Foods across the road was great when you needed snacks or just felt like a light meal. We stayed for 25 nights! We had everything we needed and any issues were only minor. You get about 10 minutes of hot water in the shower (we were there in winter) so more than 2 people have to negotiate that. The beds weren't the comfiest I've ever tried and the TV had poor reception, but we weren't in NY to watch TV. Mandy was always in communication with us and helpful and friendly. Some people in our party found it small but I think it was exactly what you would expect in NYC. We did have to get creative with our storage however, especially the empty suitcases, although we were travelling with a child and all the associated paraphernalia. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending the apartment to anyone.
My husband and I stayed here for just a couple nights with my parents before a conference in the city... it was everything we could have hoped for! The location is fantastic, close to our favourite bars and restaurants in Little Italy and Greenwich Village (no more than 20 minute walk to any planned destination we had), plus there are new favourites like Katz's Deli down the street and Fool's Gold right downstairs! Mandy gave us perfect directions and access info for our arrival--super easy! The apartment is a great size for two couples (keep in mind it's a Manhattan apartment so the kitchen/living area is smaller); the beds were SO much more comfy than the 4-star hotel we moved to for our conference! I hope I have the chance to visit again in summer months and enjoy the patio space as well!
We went to NYC for my birthday! I was happy to find this lovely place. Exactly what we needed plus the terrace is a plus. Mandy was super easy and friendly to deal with. I definetaly will come back and recommend to stay there. It is so convenient and close to everything. Love it! Thanks Mandy!
We spent a girls week in New York in July. We loved this apartment, cleanliness, comfortable beds, air conditioning, location, access to transport, restaurants, shopping and walking distance to so much. We researched this site extensively before deciding on this apartment based on the reviews. I would highly recommend it for anyone wanting to stay in the soho area. Also recommend Peasant, gorgeous little Italian restaurant just down the road in Mott st.
Where do I start? We had the pleasure of staying at Mandy's place for just over 3 months. This is the perfect location for exploring true Manhattan life and living like a local. The Underground is almost at the front door for quick transport to the usual tourist sites of NYC. In the local area you'll restaurants (both fancy & hidden local gems),speakeasy bars, live comedy, Off Broadway theatre, live music, designer shopping all at your doorstep. Mandy is a wonderful hostess. We were in NYC when hurricane Sandy hit, and Mandy was in contact throughout.
The apartment is cosy warm, main bedroom is very large and 2nd bedroom is adequate and there is a pullout bed in the sofa. Kitchen provides all you heed for home cooking. Bathroom is compact but does include a bath. We had family from Australia visit during our stay and managed 6 adults and 1 baby during the Xmas period. This was the perfect place for our extended stay and would also be ideal for shorter visits.
For local casual dining try Epistrophy just down the street on Mott and Cafe Guittane; for something a little more upmarket try Balthazar or Freemans; for the best Cabaret venue I've ever been to try Joe's Pub on Lafayette (part of the Public Theatre complex); for tiny underground bar with amazing cocktails try 1534 Jacques on Prince St; for music try National Underground, Mercury Lounge, Rockwood Music Hall or Terra Blues. All these places are within a 5 min walk!!
We plan to return to Manhattan for a summer stay sometime in the next couple of years and this will be our first pick if it is available. Fantastic value, great location, wonderful host. Thanks Mandy - we had a blast.
We stayed here for a week and it was perfect. This is in an AMAZING neighborhood- close to everything. Awesome restaurants - SO close to the subway and shopping on Broadway and of course - WHOLE FOODS! We had such an awesome stay - the apartment was great value and perfect! The property was clean, Mandy was contactable for any questions we hard. It's in a residential building so you are really living like a local - no hotels.
We had two kids with us and we had plenty of space. (It's New York, it's a small apartment - but worked perfectly for us and our kids!) The main bedroom is way bigger than I expected - and the beds were super comfy!
I've already recommended this apartment to people - it's awesome! I can't say enough good stuff!
Thank you so much!
This is the most incredible neighborhood in NYC. You are centrally located to anything you ever want to see in NYC. Everything is right outside your door and you want be staying in a touristy neighborhood.
