East Sussex is a very interesting area to explore with masses to see and do. The county town of Lewes is nine miles away with its historic castle and interesting shops. The regency town of Brighton is eighteen miles away with its Pavilion, lanes and marina. The South Downs starting at Eastbourne, twelve miles away, stretch almost to Brighton. Chalk cliffs form famous landmarks along the coast. Beachy Head the most famous, followed by the Seven Sisters. The 'Long Man of Wilmington' carved on the side of the Downs is a well known landmark approximately ten miles away. For children there are theme parks including the well known Drusilla's Park approximately sixteen miles by road, just before you get to the famous village of Alfriston. Tourist maps and other information are provided, together with details of local services, shopping, pubs, restaurants and sports facilities.
