It is my intention in opening my home for rent to offer comfort, bring happiness to people and make magical memories for children they will carry with them for a lifetime. Life is so challenging for many especially now. It is my way of creating a business that is green, brings peace to people and gives back to the community.
Pam Basilius purchased this farmhouse in 2000
The reason I chose to buy my house in this location was because of the beautiful land, views and very quaint, homey house and walking distance to the McKenzie River. It was a happy home with 11 children being raised here and you can tell there was a lot of love. We are a mile off I-5 and 4 miles drive to downtown Eugene. The feel of out in the country but close to everything.
You and your family get to experience farm life. We are 1928 working farm nestled in an old Walnut grove with very old vegetation and flowers. There are hummingbirds that feed daily and live here year round feed. The birds feed off feeders just a few feet from house. We are a 5 minute walk from the beautiful McKenzie River.
"Mom, that was the best vacation ever!" A quote from my 7 year old. It was so nice to be on vacation and have a 'home' base. We actually felt no need to rush off to fill our days. We were in heaven!!! Thank you Pam for all your love and patiences!!!!
The house is clean and relaxing and had everything we needed for our short stay. Eggs were wonderful and we enjoyed being around of animals. The location is convenient and Pam is very nice. I even bought a skein of yarn from alpacas.
Wonderful place to relax and yet be just 10 minutes away from everything in Eugene and Springfield. The charm and comfort of the house and farm provided much needed relaxation after many busy days sightseeing and shopping. Pam is a great host very willing to provide information and assistance. She is a caring human being to both people and animals.
Excellent facility. I really felt at home, and I loved being around all of the animals. Pam was so gracious and willing to accommodate, and I feel we will always be friends.
We stayed here when a family member was having surgery at the hospital. The house is homey, very clean and well furnished/stocked with extra towels, pillows, etc. It was a deal for all 4 of us and it is very close to the hospital, easy walking distance. It was comforting to come back to somewhere non institutional after being at the hospital all day. The alpacas are cute and the tour to see the chicks was a nice distraction from the stress of our situation. I took the eggs home and they were great.
We spent christmas here and it was a wonderful stay. Pam was accommodating and kind, spending time sharing with us about the animals and giving us carrots to feed to the alpacas. The home is comfortable and cozy. Convenient proximity to Eugene.
