ALPEN GLOW ISN'T REALLY A CABIN SO MUCH AS A LODGE. IT'S ONE OF FOUR GREAT CABINS JUST OFF STEEL BRIDGE ROAD EAST OF WEAVERVILLE

Alpen Glow is our grandest cabin. It's located on the Trinity River near Steel Bridge Road between Lewiston and Douglas City.
On a meadow bordered by huge trees, Alpen Glow has a swimming hole complete with a rope swing right in front of it. This is a prime winter steelhead location as well as summer trout and salmon location. See the comments below by Michael Caranci of The Fly Shop in Redding.
It has a huge kitchen with an Italian tile counter and bar. There is a gas stainless steel cooktop in the center island that's surrounded by Italian tile and butcher block, making meal prep a delight. The new dishwasher installed in 2012 holds up to 12 place settings. Two pantries are very well-stocked with the basics, plus lots of serving ware and nice touches for the table.
The large dining area seats 10 and the expansive living room has a fireplace, bookcase with great reads, a flat panel TV with DirecTV, plus a DVD/VCR combo and lots of good movies. Furnishings are tasteful with many antiques.
Several sliders open onto the enormous river deck which has a dining set, umbrella and many deck chairs and lounges.
Alpen Glow has two unique lofts (separate sleeping areas) plus 1 bedroom on the main floor. The Master Loft has wonderful mountain views from the California King log bed; a wood stove with wood provided; a private deck with river view; a sitting area plus a queen futon and a built-in daybed; a Jacuzzi tub; double vanity; and a separate shower and toilet. The River Loft has an incredible view from the queen log bed of the river, mountains and sky!
There is a full bath on the main floor, right next to the bedroom which has a queen wrought iron bed and a twin bed, too.
It's one of our 5 great cabins on the river and part of a four cabin complex on prime Trinity River frontage. All have their own privacy. All have super fast Wi-Fi. We have everything from a romantic Miner's Cabin @ $145/night to Alpen Glow, which has a very high WOW factor.
Because you can rent all four cabins here, this is a dandy location for reunions, quilters and company off-sites. You're close enough to mix with everyone else, but not too close.
BRAND NEW FOR 2012/2013: We never stop refining our cabins. In the past year, we paved the main drive, making for a much nicer entry. In addition to the newly tiled kitchen and bathrooms, the enormous deck is now a soft, pleasing sage green. There is now a parking area at the beginning of our property that's large enough to easily turn around with trailers on your vehicle, and plenty of parking space. You can unload, then just park it. Great for boats and larger vehicles, and boy, does this make fishing guides happy.
We offer kayak and raft rentals, lessons and guided trips. We supply everything you need and you can paddle to or from your door on gentle meanders with some mild but still fun rapids; or you can paddle on Lewiston Lake, which is stunning (wonderful birding: bald eagles, osprey & more) and has great trout fishing.
Pristine, stream-fed ponds just a few miles away offer warmer water than the river for swimming, and are a nice option for families with small kids.
Not all vacation rentals are alike. Our cabins are owned and maintained by us. If you need us, we are here for you. This is worth considering, because nothing is worse than having a problem and calling a long-distance property owner. We know, because it happens up here all the time. We met some guests who now stay with us after my husband unplugged the toilet of a place they were staying at near us; not our place! Another couple had him figure out why the hot water wasn't working at their rental, also not ours.
Michael Caranci of The Fly Shop in Redding says of our cabins:
'For sheer seclusion, [fishing] access, and cozy, comfortable accommodations, the cabins at the Trinity River Adventure Inn are certainly among the best.'
Check Back Talk on our web site (the link to our site is to the left of this description) to see what our guests have to say about our lodging, adventures and food. AND DON'T MISS THE VIDEO! Nobody does it like we do, and you're going to love us.
