GORGEOUS DETACHED SANDY BEACHFRONT VILLA

we just returned from an amazing 2 weeks on Grand Cayman Island.
WE spent the first week with our daughter, her husband and our 2 grand children ages 1 and 4.
I can't say enough about this condo - a true treasure. Frank and Del were amazing to deal with.
The condo was so well equiped for our needs from the beach toys to the pack and play and even
sippy cups!
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION
the beach was right at our door! easy to navigate the island from here and we did!
Rum Point beach was great for the kids and there was lots of activities for older kids as well - easy lunch there. If it's windy there go Starfish Point by Kaibo's and see the huge starfish.
Lighthouse restaurant was by far our favorite, both as a family and on our own after the kids left - amazing service and waitstaff. The Callipso Grill had wonderful crab for a light lunch.
A day on 7- mile beach was fun as well.
in all a wonderful vacation

This was the perfect vacation spot for me. Great weather, away from the tourist crowds and it had the best snorkling beach around. The weather was picture perfect. The house was fully furnished as was the kitchen, where we cooked some great meals. The house was spotless and the view of the ocean was fantastic. The ocean is literally 20 feet from the house with unobstructed views and a nice sandy beach. Lots to do in the area and all around the island. It was nice to be able to come back to peace and quiet at the end of a busy sight seeing day and jump right into the ocean for a final snorkel before dinner. I would definitely recommend this lovely home and I plan on returning again soon.

This was our first VRBO transaction, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience from the property owners. Great communication, an abundance of information about the surrounding area, and an accurate description of the property all made for a wonderful vacation to Grand Cayman.

When shopping for a property, the biggest fear is not seeing it with your own eyes. Don't worry with this particular property as the pictures are exactly how we found the property. It is a peaceful and quiet location. A wonderful retreat for those looking to go to paradise without the crowds to spoil the fun.

The master bedroom is very nice and very roomy, and the two guest bedrooms are more than adequate. Six people fit comfortably in the villa. The kitchen is nicely equipped as we ate most of our meals at the villa and the beach is literally right off the patio with the water less than 10 yards from your door.

We are a family of snorkelers, and it was wonderful to have quality snorkeling right outside the door with no one else around! We say rays, barracudas, trunk fish, squid, lobster, and tons of reef fish. Plus, we did the "Rum Point Drift" several times (which is a blast by the way) and saw turtles, more rays, lots of squid, and just about any type of fish you could think of. The only disappointment we had is we never saw a nurse shark (yes, my 10 year old wanted to see a shark).

I know when shopping for a vacation spot, it's great to know all the good things about the property, but you also want to know the downside. The downside to this location is simply its location. Although there is a small convenience store down the road, grocery shopping does require you to go back into town (about 30 minutes away). If you need a drugstore, same thing (30 minute drive). There really isn't a whole lot on this side of the island. Even the restaurants are few and far between (although there are some good ones on this side of the island).

For us, that was a (very) small price to pay for such a beautiful and quiet spot in paradise (we would trade the inconvenience for the tranquility 100% of the time).

The bottom line is that if you're looking for a quiet oceanfront location (with excellent snorkeling), I can't think of a better place than this villa. AND you can't put a price on the quality of people from which you will be renting. The peace of mind of working with an honest and trustworthy property owners makes this place a bargain.
