Situated just outside the peaceful village of Aquilea on an olive clad hilltop yet only nine miles from the walled city of Lucca. This modern style country bungalow offers comfortable accommodation for 6/7 people in three bedrooms plus the lounge which can be used as the 4th bedroom. It has a huge sunny terrace with beautiful views of the valley below and the walled city of Lucca in the distance. There are some excellent local restaurants all within 4 miles of the bungalow.

Casa Rosa is just outside the village of Aquilea, in the foothills of the magnificent Apuan Alps of northern Tuscany. The village is nine miles north of the beautiful old walled city of Lucca, the centre of a region famous for its wine and olive oil. Florence is forty miles away by motorway, and Pisa airport , from which there are frequent and regular flights to London, is thirty miles away. The house is about an hour's drive from the ski resort of Abetone, about forty miles from the sea at Viareggio, and less than an hour from the spa towns of Bagni di Lucca and Montecatini Terme. Further north are the mountainous and wooded regions of the Garfagnana and the cathedral town of Barga.

Notes: The bungalow is surrounded by vineyards and olive trees. It has open views of the valley below and the city of Lucca in the far distance. From the house there are many beautiful walks up into the hills, and through the valley. At nearby Mastiano there is a general store, bar, and pizza restaurant, and at Ponte a Moriano, three miles away, there are shops, banks, a large supermarket, and one of the best restaurants in Italy (Michelin 2 star). In front of the house is a paved patio with pergola, and the house opens directly onto this area which is south facing and therefore has the sun all day. To the right of the house, surrounded by olive trees is a swimming pool measuring 9 metres by 4 metres. Fully fitted kitchen/diner with dishwasher. Large lounge/bedroom with two single beds.
