This location is not only centrally located in the Kona Village, but also within easy drives of the best beaches, volcanoes, Kona coffee plantations and all sights on the Big Island.
The Penthouse is an end unit on the top floor (7th), with an elevator provided. The top floor units are the only units in the complex that have Two Master Bedroom Suites with ocean views and are close to 1400 square feet in size. All windows have views, of either the Kona Bay (both bedrooms and lanais), or dormant volcano views from the bathrooms, kitchen and 3rd bedroom. The unit is very spacious, island themed, and well-furnished. The unit has been remodeled with new floors new kitchen, granite appliances and paint. It includes all the latest electronic audio and video equipment for your listening and viewing pleasure. The Kailua Village complex is primarily resident owned and occupied, so neighbors are quiet and respectful of all visitors.
The location is a short walk to the farmer's market, village shops, wharf area, library, night volleyball and entertainment, incredible restaurants, night spots and coffee shops.
The location is close to the airport, centrally located in Kailua-Kona (Kona Village) and ideally situated to visit the many incredible sights of the Big Island.

Married for twenty one years, we love traveling to the Big Island to get away from the hustle and bustle of the Mainland. We love the ocean, beaches, water sports and hiking, so the Big Island fulfills all of our getaway needs.

We first visited the Big Island in 2002, and fell in love with the Island and the incredible diversity, from dry sunny beaches to rain forests and volcanoes. This particular location is really ideal because of its stellar views, proximity to the Kona Village and to all the wonderful activities available within a few blocks, as well as easy access to the entire Kona Coast area. And the rest of the Big Island just adds to myriad of activities available. Our deepest apologies; we no longer accept guests from Canada.
We really like to walk and swim in the morning and Alii Drive, the premiere running, walking and riding destination is only one block away. After our walk, we can swim in the Kona Bay along with others that swim daily. AT night, we can walk down to the art galleries and restaurants, listen to the waves and watch night volleyball games. Three days a week there is a farmer's Market within eyesight of our condo, with fresh vegetables, fruit, coffee, baked goods and sweets. All this and no driving required!
We stayed here for 4 nights and left very happy. Our party was 5 adults.
The location is walking distance to tons of restaurants, bars and the beach. 2 of the 3 bedrooms have an ocean view (minor obstruction by a church below).
There are ceiling fans everywhere (which we used constantly to combat the heat), spare towels and beach gear.
The kitchen is well stocked and there was nothing we were missing during our stay. There are useful items left either by the owner or by previous renters (plastic wrap for food, hydrogen peroxide, minor household items that you might suddenly need).
There's only one parking spot assigned so plan accordingly. You have quick and easy access to the HWY and there's a grocery store just up the street.
The owner is very responsive and quickly addressed all of our concerns.
I could not find a better rental for anywhere close to the price we paid and we would absolutely stay here again if needed.
april 2014, this condo is worth travelling half way round the world for as we do, we now regard this place as ours , this was our 4th extended stay in this wonderful condo.
other people have also said every thing you need is here within a couple of minutes stroll, excellent parking , restuarants, bars, shops, market , church, ocean, beach. supermarkets a few minutes away in the car.
the condo has been updated recently to a more modern decor. i have had many a glass of wine watching the fantastic sunsets. early morning the dolfins come out to play and set up your day.
all the cooking facilitys are here as is the bbq down by the pool
on site manager is extremly helpful and friendly as is the janitor and the bonus of super friendly neighbors throughout the block. the owner is excellent to deal with and is very prompt with your queries/bookings ect.
the condo is situated on the top floor corner resulting in a vey private area, i disagree with other comments abour noise, we sleep wirh all windows open without a noise problem.
if your are looking for i little piece of paradise, this is the place to stay, we will be back here in the fall of 2015
I can absolutely recommend this condo to anyone visiting Kailua Kona!
The location is excellent for access to Kailua Kona by foot and to quickly and easily get out of the city by car to see the rest of the island. The dedicated parking space is a wonderful thing to have. Ali'i Drive is within very short walking distance so you have access to just about anything you'd need locally (Daylight Mind Coffee Company should be a morning stop for any who appreciate coffee). The property is not on Ali'i Drive itself so you can easily get out of Kailua Kona without having to brave all the tourist traffic.
The renovations earlier in 2013 have definitely brought this apartment up to a more modern decor. You couldn't ask for much more from a condo; three bedrooms, two bathrooms, an updated kitchen, a dining area, and two small balconies. The view from the condo is wonderful, with many great sunsets from the balconies and a few sunrises over the mountain if you look out the two front doors.
The on-site manager was extremely helpful and friendly, and very willing to step in and assist with anything we needed or answer any questions about the city and the island.
This condo was perfect for our family! Set up for families with young children as well with a porta crib, high chair, etc. It's location allowed us to walk to the market place or downtown in minutes. Very nice decor with all the amenities. This unit had THE best parking spot, loved it. We were able to get our grandson in and out of the car with ease. The condo is off the main drag so it was easily accessible without having to deal with downtown traffic. Can't wait to rent with them again.
I stayed at this condo for 5 nights with friends and loved that it was within easy walking distance of town and the water. The pictures are exactly what it looks like - very nicely remodeled and comfortable furnishings and nice view of the water. The beds are very comfortable, and between the ceiling fans and the breeze coming in through the open windows and sliders, it was quite comfortable at night. The kitchen is well equipped, and it was nice having so much room to spread out. There was some construction noise during the day from the church being built below the lanai, but they stopped at a reasonable time and didn't work on the weekends. Overall it was a very relaxing stay and would definitely stay there again. Also the owners, Jim and Debbie, are very easy to work with.
Although we have stayed here before and had a great time, the recent renovations made this vacation even better! The beautiful views,easy access to town and quiet evenings were still there but the upgraded kitchen and bedrooms made it excellent. The new dining table and other furniture added even more to enjoy. My son and his fiancé stayed with us and we all had a really good time. Due to a lack of the usual cooling trade winds, we had to use the air conditioner at times and it worked very well. Thanks for the enjoyable upgrades----we will be back!!
