Lovers of Charlevoix for its exceptional environment.
The Owner purchased this house in 2006
Cap-à-l'Aigle and Charlevoix is unique in Quebec for its quality of life, culture, food and activities. It is a natural step after Quebec City to see the St-Lawrence sea conditions and natural landscape.
The scenery, the outdoor activities, the arts, the food and the rural quiet environment.
The house is much more charming than the pictures show and it is very tastefully decorated. The veranda outside is big and offers great views of the river and of the stars at night (although the neighbour directly across the street has a rude overly-bright flood lamp outside). As we were three couples we used the two bedrooms upstairs and the fold-out couch in the livingroom (a space that was away from the centre of the house). The bathroom is big and bright but the one downside is that it is right off the kitchen and the door does not fully close. The place was fully equipped and offered more extras than most, including items such as olive oil, salt & pepper and spices, sandwich bags, napkins, kleenex, shampoo and conditioner, handiwrap, etc. It's a steep, winding climb up to the house but once there it offers a peaceful, lovely retreat.
