The location of this beautiful villa and the views are so spectacular that you will not want to leave the breezy terraces to go exploring. However, you must, because this area of Italy is known as Undiscovered Tuscany and is full of unique and exciting surprises. The villa itself is located on the island of Monte Argentario, which has two beautiful towns, Porto Santo Stefano and Porto Ercole. Connecting these towns are beaches and scenic drives on good mountain roads, always with the blue sea to appreciate.
The mainland, connected to the island by three short causeways, is only a 10-minute drive away and is a different but just as wonderful experience. There you have the beautiful Tuscan countryside, with miles of forest and high hills. The villages in this area are much less touristy than the better-know parts of Italy to the north. Here you find many Etruscan influences, some wonderful wineries, a national seaside wilderness preserve, wild mustangs, many natural hot-springs for bathing, 3000-year old olive groves, three-star restaurants, and much, much more.
For day trips, you can easily drive to the well-know Tuscan towns of Pienza or Montepulciano or catch a train to Rome or Siena if you do not wish to drive to the larger cities.
On the ground level the house has 2 regular bedrooms with queen beds and two baths, one with bathtub/shower and one with shower; also, a large living room, a dining room, a kitchen and a serviceroom/office (with a couch). Upstairs, there are 4 small bedrooms, two with single beds and two with bunk beds; also, a bath with shower. The outside terrace is furnished with tables, cushioned chairs, an umbrella and a charcoal grill. There is offstreet private parking for two cars.
WIFI IS AVAILABLE IN THE HOUSE.
Etruscan sunken roads, tombs, museums, ruins, hot water natural spas, 5-star restaurants, short ferry trips to remote islands, easy access to Tuscan wine country, Siena, Pisa, and Rome to the south.
